Small museum, but interesting. You'll probably spend an hour to an hour and a half here, if you tend to read most descriptions. There are also videos, which are interesting but a bit dated. Seems like the "modern" videos are from the early 2000s, so I'd love to see an update with the latest innovations in the industry. I certainly learned a bit, but it needs some updating. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming though!

Who knew cotton could be interesting? The history and importance to the development of our country is fascinating. This museum covers the good, the bad, and the ugly. There is also a science and agriculture section that I almost skipped because it sounded boring but it was actually very educational and the hands on part was great. Overall a well done museum that surprised me.

Very enlightening place to visit. There is a lot of information about the cotton industry and specifically the cotton exchange. There are a lot of artifacts and several areas to plug in the personal headphones they give you. Each area has interviews with dozens of people who held jobs in the industry. Everyone from farmers, brokers, and even secretaries all telling their stories about how things worked over the years. All in all, you can easily spend several hours here if you take the time to listen to all of the interviews and read each of the displays

I found the museum very educational. When you arrive you are given a headset. Then you go across the hall to the museum. You plug in the headset to the TV which has videos. There are 7 sets of videos very educational and informative. Then you walk around the museum to see the exhibits. Once you drop off the headset you walk to see an interactive display in the next room

What a little gem! Very interesting collection of items, provided us with a lot of information about the area, the industry and the impact. Great little gift shop, I purchased some teas, magnet and a couple of other small items. I would have bought more but had no more room for items in my luggage. Staff was very friendly and helpful, thank you for helping us to have a good visit!

Memphis is more than Graceland! The museum consists of two parts, the history of cotton business and how it brings prosperity in Memphis, and everything you may want to know about cotton, from how it is grown to its applications. It is interesting that a membership was required for cotton trade.

I was very excited to visit this place. I was expecting this place to be a little bigger but it was way smaller than I expected. I won’t give four stars because most of the tours are digital videos that you plug in the headset you get from the counter. And there are so little physical stuff that you actually see.I purchased ticket on groupon at discount.

Lots of information linking the cotton industry to slavery and mechanisation. The building itself has some wow moment features inside which tell how important the building must have been in its day.

A very clean, well presented, self guided tour through the old cotton exchange loaded with information. Children under 6 get in free, $10 for adults. It's mostly all located in one large room, starting with a short film, then displays. Finishing with interactive units and listening stations. On the other side of the gift shop is a informational board about how cotton is grown and used along with a fun little trivia game that my daughter and I had fun playing.

We had a few hours to kill and came here for 1.5 hours. It's quite a small museum, one room with mostly exhibits and another room with video access, a film, and many historic exhibits. Too many videos and I was exhausted so I didn't watch too many, as I had a flight to take and was in alot of sleep debt.
