I really like the Superlo stores even tho I have gotten spoiled meat before and ice cream that wouldn't freeze. Today this white manager was just too much tho. while checking out I overheard her tell another white employee in the fast lane to watch this lady she had a tote the store sells with food inside. That she may steal it. Well the lady proceeded to dump the stuff out and bought the bag. It pissed me off so bad. That you can be judged like that for shopping. i waited on her and told her when she left. She said the lady ask her earlier if she needed help and she said no but she don't worry about people like that. She work around to many people that are not white to act like that.

The chicken is "famous" and for good reason and should be the ENTIRE post, but I'll add a little more. I like coming here early in the morning or after work to do some light grocery shopping. Prices aren't much cheaper, but I do like that I can get certain items from here that aren't found in other stores. My most recent purchase was the fried chicken, sweet cole slaw, fudge brownie and peach cobbler for dinner. Peach cobbler was not good and not enough peaches. I like crust, but the crust wasn't even good but my other items were really good and the chicken is available daily at 11am. I have been passing over the deli and hot items until I was told to try the chicken and slaw. I have a new place to get hot items in days that I don't want to cook, but I do advise you get there before 430 if you're looking for chicken.

5 Stars **JUST FOR THE FRIED CHICKEN**I am late to the party, but this might be some of the best fried chicken in the whole city of Memphis. Last time I ordered (I use Instacart), I purchased 2 so my inlaws could experience the joy. They are Gus's fanatics, and they loved this chicken. Just typing this, my mind starts saying "You need to order this for dinner tonight!" I love fried chicken, but hate the mess. This tastes like homemade, and I don't have to worry about grease popping!

As I walked to enter, the manager was reprimanding to young men on not getting along. Standing in the way of customers. Then I was checking out and Quincey was nice but wearing his pants so low I was flashed with his underwear and the shadow of his crack several times. So if you come here, and I wouldn't, be prepared. And warned.

They have really good cuts of meat and if you are looking for a spices they have a great variety!
