I’ve put off writing a review for a while simply because it’s not who I am, however I am apalled over the lack of care me and my cat received during our visit in December 2023. To start, this is the first time my cat needed to the vet, I was told I had to drop him off and I was not allowed in the room to explain what was going on until I expressed that I did not feel comfortable doing so. Once they agreed to let my cat be seen with me, I explained to what was going on. I met Doctor K who should be ashamed in how she communicates and does her job. She tacked on every charge she could in the book. As a pet owner, I am already overwhelmed with the charges that are being thrown at me but also trying to listen and understand her due to the language barrier. I signed up for the wellness plan but later decided I did not feel comfortable being locked in for a full year using this yet, so I paid for the visit out of pocket. $700 later got me a visit which who knows what they do behind closed doors, shots, and a diagnosis I already knew of but was not the reason I came In. The answer I received Is they will need to run more test for the issue. My cat was there for a total of five hours which ultimately got me no answers and results. I was told I could pick my cat up and was not given him until almost 45 minutes later. They prescribed him antibiotics which I had to wait a day to pick those up. After calling this place asking what a good time for me to pick those up and what the meds would do for my cat, I was told they were not sure and weren’t familiar with the meds so they would need to ask a vet. I never received a call back especially after calling about four times over the week and was also dumbfounded over the lack of knowledge everyone who I spoke to seemed to have. Shame on me for not reading reviews and doing my research on this vet before going. If it was possible to give zero stars I would. I highly recommend going to another vet to receive better care and safety for your pet. Thinking this was an “affordable” vet is comical. This by far was the worst and most frustrating experience I have ever had.

Just saw it at Pet Smart. Didn't have any dealings with them but looked very clean and professional.

I had the same experience as some of the people below at this specific location. I have had my wellness plan for 6 years now and this was my first visit at this location. I went because my dog had an ear infection. We saw a saleswoman not a vet. She tacked on 3 extra shots, shampoos and other unneeded treatments. Our bill was $310! We made her go over the charges. The final price after we made her take off all the unnecessary charges were only $80 dollars. Be careful at this location!

Several pets, referrals and referred other pet parents here. All 10 yrs of being a loyal client since FL, PA and TN. I’ve spent $$$-$$$$ out of pocket with my pets’ chronic conditions outside of their health plans. I’m done. I really tried to stick it out for you. Didn’t matter if I was nice letting you know how badly you dropped the ball so many times. You gotta fix your communication issues. You’ll continue losing clients. The whole staff passing the ball and blaming each other. Unacceptable.

Been a client for 10 yrs already. I tried staying loyal but they just keep dropping the ball on the care. There's lack of communication among the staff. Front desk, back desk, Vets. I have brought it to the attention of the practice mgr or the Vet in charge. Treatments not being done. Lack of supportive documentation. Broken communication and then they can't figure out what went wrong. I'm taking my pets and referrals with me.

The worst vet chain ever. They are money hungry and can only handle maybe a routine vaccine but any type of illness etc. stay far away because your pet will only suffer more. I have had nothing but bad experiences with this chain especially Mount Juilet location. I lost my poor Lealand at only 5 months old and after being at the pet emergency room 2 nights in a row I called Banfield my “primary” vet as instructed to get him seen and they couldn’t fit me in. It was a desperate need. Told me to call 2 other locations no one would help me. I had to go back to the pet hospital and let them know I couldn’t even get my primary vet to see my puppy after being in the ER for two nights. Then I had the wellness plan and he only received all of his vaccines no neuter etc. and none of my money could be refunded from the plan because his bills exceeded what I paid for the plan?! Give me a break. I just lost my 5 month old puppy who no one at Banfield seemed to care about and no compassion given or any money back. Such a shame. Terrible service. Very limited time with a vet that is if you get to see one.

Great Vet for convenience but there's a good amount of turnover so you never know who you're going to get. Most of their staff are pretty friendly!

This hospital agreed to see my cat late on a Saturday afternoon even though I was not their patient. I was frantic and had been trying to find someone who would see her all day. She was in pain and had to have medical attention. They agreed to work me in even though they were booked solid. They were able to treat her and immediately reduce her pain. She is on road to recovery now and I am VERY grateful to Banfield in Mt Juliet. Thank you for loving my pet and helping her!

I am saddened to be writing this review as we lost our Scotty two weeks ago tomorrow. He had been a Banfield patient for years and we trusted them with his life. What a mistake that was! We noticed he started having some wheezing on the night of June 1st right before bed but assumed it would resolve as he sometimes can get wheezy. The next morning we woke up to his wheezing be audibly louder and did not want to get up. We decided to take him in to make sure everything was okay. By the time we made it to Banfield he had gotten even worse. The tech at the front desk saw Scotty and we expressed our concerns about his condition. She expressed concern and said she would go talk to the vet on staff and see what could be done. Within a minute the tech came back out front and told us that they were completely full with appointments and had no time to see Scotty, handed us a list of other vets, and recommended we call them to ask if they had time for him. Dr. Morency was the vet on staff that day and could not get up and walk a short distance to the front desk to visually check on Scotty and his condition. We were shocked but had no time to dispute as Scotty’s breathing was slowing down. On the way to a random vet they gave us, Scotty took his last breathe in our arms. Cumberland Animal Hospital welcomed us in and checked to make sure Scotty had completely left us and set up his cremation. I am thankful to them for being there in our time of need. As for Banfield, I wish we could take back every dime we ever spent there. They seemed to prioritize the easy money making appointments over actually caring for pets who are in distress. I would recommend if Dr. Morency is seeing your animals currently to find a new vet that actually has a passion for their job. It baffles me that a facility can handle full scale surgeries on pets but not a pet with an acute onset of difficulty breathing. I am disgusted with my experience at Bandfield and warn everyone to be find a new vet that will take your pet care seriously as soon as possible.
