I’ve been going to VCA Mt. Juliet for three years now, and every single member of their staff is incredible. They have treated every single one of my pets with the best possible care, and my extremely anxious dog absolutely loves them (which says A LOT). Since moving a little further away, I still make the drive to them because of how exceptional the team is.

The people who work there are wonderful. They worked so hard to make her presentable again. I can't say enough good things about them

Over the course of the past two years, I got to interact with all three doctors and many of the vet techs at VCA Mt Juliet, as they helped me take care of my senior CKD kitty from diagnosis through her end stage care. While they weren't close to home, I started going because of appointment availability and kept going because I really like interacting with everyone there. (I don't *need* everyone to fuss over my pets and tell me how cute they are, but it sure is sweet when they do!) This is a team that all seem to genuinely love the animals and their jobs, and it shows in every way.Having a chronically ill pet without insurance is tough, so I always appreciated that before going ahead with treatments, they would discuss pricing and options very transparently. Every visit was timely, and care was always given competently and kindly. Sadly my little girl was put down last month due to kidney failure, but only after doing everything that could reasonably be done. I am grateful to Drs. O'Connell and Balbao for keeping her going and living a good life for nearly two years after diagnosis, and to Dr. Pennington for kindly and sensitively guiding us through euthanasia. There is no way to prepare yourself for that unimaginable moment, but we know we did what was right for her, and the whole experience gave us a sense of closure and was handled with so much thoughtful care. The staff even sent us a sweet condolences card after. (If you opt for private cremation, the company that VCA partners with returns your pet's ashes in a beautiful little carved box, and you can get a little clay paw print.)I am so grateful to this lovely team and can't recommend them enough!

Overall good experience for us and our pets. The office seems to be ran efficiently. The waiting area and patient rooms are very clean. Getting appointments is really easy as well. But most importantly to me is the staff are all compassionate towards our pets. They really do care and aren’t necessarily profit driven either. They always give us options.

They just want your money and get out quick. I would not recommend anyone to go there. They dishonest about their pricing. Make sure if you have a coupon show them before they ring you up. Or else they’ll put towards the next time credit.

After being turned away by so many in an emergency, the vets here got us in and were kind and sympathetic, we were so close to putting our dog to sleep when they said there was hope, we are all eternally grateful, and glad to have our dog with us. Thank you so much.

I'm surprised by some of the other reviews, because I've had nothing but good experiences here. The waiting room is spacious and clean, which is hard to do with so many dogs coming through. My dog is shy and scared of the vet, and yet, the vet and the vet support were very understanding and patient with her. Also, you can tell that the vets are very caring. If my dog comes in for a sick appointment, our vet will call the next day to see how she is doing.

My daughter and I had the brutal task of putting her dog to sleep because the dog was ill and suffering this week. We had never been clients of VCA until that day. The staff was so kind and professional and HUMAN. We were not rushed and were treated with sympathy and kindness. I highly recommend.

This was the only vet in town that would see me on a same day emergency. I even called some places in Murfreesboro and other towns and no luck. They got me in and helped me with my dog and now she's back up and running with no issues. They were super friendly and super knowledgeable and very affordable.

What a relief it's been to find Dr. Pennington and the staff at VCA. We just moved here from out of state, and finding a new vet has been a mission. Before moving, I noticed some weight loss in my 8yr old dog, so I took him to the vet.. they didn't seem at all concerned and sent me on my way. I put him on a high calorie supplement and we moved on. However, now that we're here and settled in, I haven't noticed any gain. So, I started looking around and was able to find VCA. They got me in for an appointment very next day. Dr. Pennington's concern and attentiveness was very reassuring. She ran bloodwork and x-rays, (and sent the x-rays off for further evaluation.) And now ultimately has scheduled his surgery for an abdominal blockage. (Also, while initially evaluating him in the room, I made a comment about him having a stinky head.. so when he came back from tests, I was pleasantly suprised that he now smelt, SO GOOD.) While I'm terrified to know my boy needs surgery, I'm comforted knowing Dr. Pennington and her staff have the utmost care, concern, and passion for their patients. 11/10 recommended

By far the most frustrating experience i've ever had with a veterinarian. They were amazing at first but once our digs hot sick, it was all downhill from there. To make the long version short, one of my dogs was having uncontrolled discharge and they barley completed a physical and provided antibiotics for 2 weeks without a urine culture or anything to confirm any specific bacteria. After 2 weeks, she still had the same issue no improvement at which point they than prescribed an amtibiotic that finally was inproving her symtoms but it did not take it completely away and they wanted us to consider another round of antibiotics which would have my dog taking antibiotics for 6 weeks!!! And again no diagnostic testing done the second visit. Now with my other dog he has never been sick before and has a persistent dry cough which again theh provided antibiotics and ofcourse no improvement, at this point im concerned with the cough leading to a more serious situation and called them after a week to request a cough suppresent in which they were reclucant to give me ans decided to give my dog steroids. I complied with the treatment and til this moment no improvement which would make sense due to his cough already being dry it doesnt dry up mucus where theres none. They dont explain things clearly and honestly weve invested too money to return to this vet. I would certainly recommened finding a provider who actuallys explains the treatment plan more throughly and who uses reason such as diagnostic testings as opposed to educated guesses to determine the best tx plan.
