Have been a Gold member with Hertz for years and have never been disappointed, but picking up our rental car today our expectations were beyond exceeded. I’m in town with my younger sisters visiting our grandmother for Easter, and Paul made sure to go out of his way and help direct us and even got us a free upgrade to a bigger and better vehicle. Paul was a ray of sunshine and made our experience just that much more enjoyable. He even helped us get our luggage up and into our vehicle. We love Hertz and are one happy customer!

Wow!!!! That HertzTalk about getting hustled, I booked and paid with an online reservation.When I arrived at the BNA airport I was asked what insurance I had and I told them, they then said they needed my credit card for a deposit so that was no problem, I signed a very small screen for authorization that I assumed was accepting liability. That is what I get for not scrolling the credit card size screen. When I dropped the car off I was shocked to see I charged an additional $70 per DAY almost an additional $264 for insurance. Yes I am upset about the money but more upset I got played.Disappointed that a company like Hertz encourages this type of behavior in what I can only assume is commissioned sales.Alamo did this to me 15 years ago and I have never rented from them again. Well I’m adding Hertz to that list.Beyond disappointingUPDATE, Hertz came back to me and was extremely proactive in resolving the problem.Went from one to five stars.

Went to rent a car from your company in Nashville and had it paid for early. Nearly two weeks in advance. When my husband got there to pick it up they told him they couldn't let him rent because we don't have a credit card. This is complete baloney.It was prepaid on a debit card. The only good thing was that we got our money back. This is THE LAST time we ever go through Hertz.We have never had problems renting through Hertz until now.

Rented a car here. Returned it at night after hours. They didn't check it in for 28 hrs after and charged me for an extra day even though I returned it 16 hours early. Now they want to send me to collections. Won't be renting here again.

We had rented a car originally from Thrifty (which is part of Hertz) and it broke down. Long story short, Hertz would not just give us another car to replace the broken one. I had to rent another one.

My recent encounter with Hertz at Nashville Airport left much to be desired. Upon encountering an issue with my reservation, the counter staff displayed a complete lack of initiative and problem-solving skills. Instead of offering assistance, they simply directed me to call the customer service number. Even the manager echoed the same unhelpful advice. If this is the standard of customer service they uphold, perhaps they should consider implementing self-checkout kiosks instead. The in-person assistance lacked both critical thinking skills and empathy. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it.

Great selection in the President's Circle for those who have status with Hertz. Car was clean and drove great, but when I returned it, they charged me a cleaning fee when my car was hardly dirty. I called the company and got it worked out. Always take pictures at the beginning and end of your rental in case you get wrongly charged!

They charged me for fuel even though I filled up the tank completely before returning the car. I tried calling, but can never get ahold of an actual person to talk to. What a scam!

I prepaid online for a rental vehicle for 5 days. During checkout at the airport, the attendant stated an additional $62.78 was due for airport taxes and fees, and that they were different from the ones I had prepaid online. After looking at my receipt upon vehicle return, it turns out the additional amount was actually for “premium roadside service” when I had told the attendant that I didn’t want any add-ons. I am an AAA member so I would never want this add-on.Upon returning the vehicle, I was charged an additional $29.95 for fuel, although I had topped off the tank immediately prior to returning the vehicle.I have rented many vehicles from Hertz in the past without issue, but am extremely disappointed with this attempt to defraud me.I attempted to resolve this with Hertz customer service, they agreed to return the fuel charge, but refused to return the charge for roadside assistance which I did not accept. I will be filing a chargeback with my credit card company.Double check your receipts before you leave the lot folks.Hertz just lost a customer over $60 for scummy and fraudulent sales tactics. A good salesperson will sell the service by building value in the product, not sneaking it in and telling you the charges are for something else.

As a president Circle member Hertz at BNA disappointed. My rental contract agreement changed in prices and LDW service.The convenience to have the Gold Service is a plus, but returning your rental vehicle now you must look and wait for the services attendant to CLOSE your rental otherwise Hertz will charge you extra hours even if you return it on time.From rental price changes to charge you at will it ashamed.I was quoted $55 per day and $34.99 for Ldw and charge $59 per day and 41.99 for Ldw.I called explained the issue and no good response as a matter of principle.I am concerned that a good name like Hertz is not getting the expectation We are paying for.Hertz I liked your history and service, but I have to let you go in BNA.983371546

The worse experience I have ever had with a rental car company. They overcharged me for 2 days and gas when I had returned the car on time and with a full tank. Nearly double the amount of what is cost to rent the car. After I called and showed proof, they still haven’t refunded me and continue to go back and forth via email asking for proof when I already sent it. Take pictures of everything as proof as they will try to get you on their mistakes.

Renting from this location was awful. The incompetence is mind-boggling. They charged me $600 in cleaning fees by accident - something they freely admitted after I called wanting to know why they’d charged it. At that time they also simply never charged me the outstanding balance for the rental itself but never notified me in any way that there was an outstanding balance. They just said they were correcting their incompetent screw-up and I never heard from them again. Then they sent the outstanding balance to collections so I had to deal with that too. How is something THAT basic so hard??? I’m really angry to the point where I’m just not going to rent from Hertz at all anymore. The original screw-up is directly on the Nashville airport staff who checked the car back in but doing that piss poorly on the billing after the fact is an overall Hertz failure. Never again.

It took over an hour to get out of the parking lot with no explanations from the gate attendant or passing Hertz employees. There had to be 100 cars fighting for a spot to get to the front to be let out but we all just sat there.If that wasn't bad enough, the first gold car I picked was so dirty on the inside, I removed all my items and picked a different car which unfortunately ended up being a base model with no carplay or android auto

I wanted to book through hertz but I wasn't allowed to speak to someone in their local office to confirm if they were on site to the airport so I am going with another carrier that can answer simple questions
