“Loved my stay at the Russell. This hotel is beautiful and the design is perfection. The complimentary local snacks and water were very appreciated after a long business day where I didn’t have time to grab snacks. The bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of breakfast choices minutes away. The neighborhood felt safe and quiet. Parking was easy. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would stay again next time I’m in Nashville.”

“This hotel is so conveniently located and a great concept. I love that the building was once a church which comforted me!
The room was very comfortable and we had everything we needed for our stay! I’d definitely stay here again!”

“Great hotel with amazing staff. Gym was also well equipped with a variety of machines and free weights as well as a large room for stretching etc. my only complaint would be that it seemed a little cheap to charge guests for wifi when you are paying around 500$ a night to stay there. I just used data but for guests coming from out of country it’s annoying.”

“We stayed for one night and had a wonderful experience. Didn’t particularly like the fact that we either had to pay for the valet or pay to park across the street, but I guess that’s what you get in the heart of Nashville. The room was incredibly clean (I’m picky about that), smelled nice (picky about this too), and the staff was very kind. The experiences that I’ve read previously regarding rude staff must have been addressed, because we were greeted and treated with the utmost respect and kindness. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.”

“We stayed here for a family holiday getaway and were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the king suite was very spacious and gorgeous! The front staff was so patient and accommodating with all of our requests. They offered a good selection of wine and drinks during the cocktail hour and the holiday decor and esthetic was perfect! We ordered food from Henley as well and we all enjoyed our meal options. The hotel location was also in walking distance to several restaurants. We will definitely be staying again. Also, it's clearly pet friendly but we never heard any pets during our stay.”

“First-class experience in a sparkling, newly developed part of town just south of the strip. Great conference rooms, huge capacity, everything is truly on a major metro scale. Nashville, who new? Or am I just the last to know?

Nearby activities: Near everything worthwhile

Walkability: Highly walkable

Noteworthy details: Great convention destination.”

“VERY fun décor and tons of photo opportunities! Space was GREAT for our bachelorette party. I would have appreciated responses to my questions via Airbnb or text messages. I had asked a question (1hr early check in to decorate) prior to check-in and received a partial response about a week later. Then again, asked a question about check-out and where to store our luggage since this was offered (thankfully), but never received a response. I had asked the questions about 24hours or more before checkout. There was no front desk to ask for assistance, and the phone number listed in the info binder also did not yield a response. We got lucky that we checked out on a Monday and found someone in the building to help us. The only other items were not deal breakers but kind of odd were all the different communication/check-in methods outside of Airbnb where we booked the rental. I think I had Airbnb, Maddox emails, and also a check in app, which made it kind of confusing. Overall the experience was positive. Would recommend!
Tip to future renters who have never used an induction stove top, the pots/pans are required to head the tops. The email I received about this was sent on a Friday at 4pm, when check in was prior to that and NOT from the booking site so it was missed. Luckily we figured it out later. ?”

“Great place to stay! Close enough to walk to downtown if you wanted. It was quiet even though it was next to the interstate, literally would not have known there was an interstate if we didn't get off said interstate right there. You do have to pay for parking in their parking lot but wasn't horrible. Everything is communicated via text message, they are very responsive!”

“Pleasantly surprised! I typically don’t like best western hotels. They are usually over priced for the quality. They are like travel lodges or Super 8. It’s surprisingly stylish as well. Even the bed is comfortable!

Rooms: Stylish and comfortable. Small but they have added nice additions to help with that. For example a comfortable chair with ottoman and a moveable attached side table. I was able to sit convertible while using my laptop. The large sliding door that doubles at a closer door and a bar room door was a nice addition as well. Not to mention the luxury shower!?”

“We went here during the weekend for our church event for Lads to Leaders. It was very nice, but this place is like a maze if you haven’t been here. Rooms are very nice, especially if you get a room with a nice view. The service is very good especially security, my daughter scrapped her knee and reopened her wound and security was very voice and detailed about the situation. They even followed up with a phone call to make sure my daughter was ok. The food there looks and smells amazing, we had pizza for lunch one day. I only gave it a four star because it is very expensive here. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.”

“We stayed at an AirBNB in the Gulch and this was walking distance. Brunch was absolutely delicious. The music each day we walked by was just a single singer that was jaw droppingly good! Eat there and sit out on the patio with the singer!

Walkability: Great location for lots of nearby murals, a little over a mile to downtown.

Food and drinks: Brunch was phenomenal!!!

Noteworthy details: 3 murals very close by to check out! Lots of cute shops about 1 block away in the gulch.”

“We hosted an event at Loews Nashville and had a great experience overall! The service was wonderful all around. The hotel team was incredibly hospitable. The bellmen who work in the lobby are exceptional. The event services and banquets team were very friendly and on top of things. The front desk team was lovely. The meeting space is very nice and looks freshly renovated. The gym is state of the art. The restaurant and bar are really nice and served great southern food and beverage options. My only critic is that the sleeping rooms and hallways were dated and worn. The sleeping room floors (including club levels) could use a refresh and renovation.”

“Saw this hotel on a lot of Ig and loved the aesthetic...the hotel is located in midtown; and it's a bits walking to broadway. Around the area, there are some eateries but not many....the lobby and room are lovely decorated with the music theme. Very colorful and unique and I love it. Upon checking in, they give you some tokens for morning coffee/tea (just plain black coffee or tea no fancy replacement) and I was really hoping to take a photo with dolly on top of the roof, but they were remodeling or something, so not opened for public. They do have a small coffee shop and bar on top...wish they could have a restaurant on site too. The area is safe and pretty walkable and very close to Vanderbilt university.”

“We picked Holston House due to it's proximity to the nightlife Nashville has to offer. Upon arrival, the Valet guys were EXTREMELY helpful. I cannot say enough about them.Check-In was easy and they accommodated us with early check in for a $50 fee. The lobby was decorated amazing and it smelled SO good. The room was okay, not worth the price in my opinion, HOWEVER, the hotel being walking distance to Broadway was the biggest seller here. Bed was comfortable, could definitely use new pillows. The breakfast spot was delish, over all hotel/restaurant service was great, Rooftop, although closed, was STUNNING. We will make sure to visit during the warmer months to utilize this amenity. Would definitely stay here again given the chance!Nearby activities: Steps from Broadway, all within walking distance.”

“The renovation of this train station built in 1900 is incredible. Service is top notch. The restaurant is good but not incredible or with a view. There's no pool. The suite style rooms are modern but on the small side but very nice. Not a fan of sliding door bathrooms. You can walk to Broadway bars. 4-stars + 1 bonus star for basically staying in a historic architectural marvel.”

“Outstanding boutique hotel with only 10 rooms, each with its own character. Lovely and super helpful staff (thanks Amy and Chrissy). Lovely indoor and outdoor space with free parking. Location could not be better in the heart of Germantown. Close to several restaurants, bars, and cafes. Also a short walk to Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park, Tennessee State Museum and Farmers Market. Note there’s a Kroger and Walgreens nearby within walking distance for sundries.
Highly recommend!

Rooms: Roosevelt room was spacious and well appointed.

Nearby activities: Check out Nashville Farmers market, the Bicentennial park and capitol.

Safety: Felt very safe even into the evening.

Walkability: Easy walking to key sites and great food and drink options.

Food and drinks: Several great food options within a short walk. Happily Tried Little Hat, City House, and red bicycle. But much more to try!”

“Attending a concert at Bridgestone Arena and the location was in perfect walking distance for us. The valet service at this property was the best we've experienced.

Rooms: Beds and pillows were extremely comfortable.

“We booked a handicap room d/t husband's recent back surgery (came straight from the hospital). I was surprised that the room was a good walk from the entrance (middle of the hallway on the 2nd floor). The hotel supplied shower bench, which was super nice to have. The bathroom was big enough to use a walker in. Toilet was raised. There were grab bars in the shower.

The room was very clean. The food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”

“It was a great looking hotel, and the rooms were luxurious, comfortable, and clean. Beware of the massive mini bar, though. A huge selection with prices to match. About a 5 - to 10-minute walk to Broadway and the hotel is right on Printers Alley. The only gripe I had is that the hotel billed the room to my credit card used at check-in, despite the room having already been paid. It was quickly resolved, but I didn't like the fact that the hotel refused to give me a receipt at check out showing a zero balance, despite having a pending charge of $1200 on my credit card that took about 10 days to clear.

Walkability: Close to Broadway and right on Printers Alley”

“Stayed 3 nights and I have to say one of the better hotel rooms I've stayed in. Bed was really comfortable, shower was nice (some leaking around the glass door and it wouldn't shut completely), air conditioner worked great, clean and was quiet. Nice pool and exercise room. Staff was very helpful. There is a restaurant and bar onsite but didn't take advantage of it. Also a breakfast buffet for $20 a person. I see this hotel is popular for airport staff and conventions being so close to the airport. Would stay here again if in the Nashville area.”

“Rooms were clean and well appointed. No windows in the two rooms we stayed in, so zero natural light. The rooms didn't feel excessively dark though due to the paint and decent lighting. Location is perfect for those wanting to explore Broadway, a 5 minute walk.”

“Makeready L&L was so much fun! Alice and wonderland theme restaurant with insane food. The tortellini is the best pasta I've ever had. My husband had the branzino and it was spicy and delicious. And the twice baked potatoes tasted like the stuffed mashed potatoes into a crispy shell. Kailey was our server and has excellent recommendations and attentive service. Cannot recommend her or this spot enough!”

“Changed my review to a 5. Spoke to Missiel Torres and she extended a one night future stay. So no money was wasted. We appreciated that so much.
Looking forward to the stay.

Excited to stay here & flt had mechanical. Couldn’t get in, so we tried to cancel or at least get a voucher for future use. Hotel wouldn’t budge, told us to contact booking site & booking site told us to contact hotel. Too bad hotel wouldn’t assist and work with us, I’m sure we would have enjoyed our one night stay.”

“The room was great and very spacious. It is directly across the street from the event center so the location was perfect. There is a drop-off area kind of under the building which makes loading and unloading super easy. Overall a great stay and experience.Walkability: Very central to downtown so just about everything is within walking distanceFood & drinks: Coffee bar in the main lobby is very average but the breakfast buffet on the 4th floor is fabulous. Lots of choices and fresh waffles.Noteworthy details: The rooftop bar and pool are super cool. Definitely worth a trip to the 30th floor to check those out.”
