Our boat loan was transferred to Truist when they merged with SunTrust. It's been a less than acceptable experience. We've had to rely on Truist to endorse insurance claim checks and the process has been beyond frustrating. It is impossible to talk to anyone at Truist that has the ability to give information, make decisions, or answer questions. Those individuals that might be able to help hide behind multiple layers of dysfunctional offshore call centers. The call centers are useless, rude, and a barrier to getting any help.

Regina is super nice but this branch is like the "forgotten" Suntrust. The drive thru doesn't work. Always long lines and under staffed. I understand banks would like to do away with their branches but come on. If it is going to be open, at least staff it. I feel sorry for the 3 people who are usually there.

By far the worst bank I've come across in East Nashville. These express bank atm is filthy. Even though I used their filthy machine I went across the street to get some singles and coins, they told me I needed an account to get change. The reason was they could not type it in their computer to make change. They did not attempt to offer me an account, they didn't offer to use one of their own account, and they don't have a guest account to do small transactions like a currency exchange. I need a new back and they will not get the business. Pour customer service for non-members.

The folks here are frequently short-staffed. Friendly, but short staffed. Makes it tough to get business done and get back to work but somehow Suntrust finds time to send me all kinds of marketing material I'm not interested in. Maybe if they invested in enough people to keep my current business, they wouldn't have to push so hard to get more business from me.

I have been banking with suntrust for about 3 years now. If nothing goes wrong with your acct. then by all means you could easily say this company is the peak of perfection, BUT if even the slightest thing goes wrong and needs to be fixed be ready to spend countless man hours on the phone with their horrific customer service and/or at the bank where their representatives are so low on the insane level of bureaucracy they can't offer any real help. I have had an issue with money somehow "lost" from a atm deposit, which was debited to my account, and unfortunately put me in the negatives. It's been three months and it's still unresolved. There was another issue where a company wrongfully charged me an amount, admitted to doing so, and instead of forcing them to correct the transaction they allowed them to give me a credit on my account...this lead to another scenario where my account was left in the negative. This took about 2 months to handle. I have waited weeks for certain transaction to go through so that I could handle my bills appropriately, complained about it, and nothing has been done. I have since left and found another bank, Pinnacle (which has been pleasant thus far), but still have to deal with inane bureaucracy that somehow "lost" $400. tldr; pros: the tellers are nice cons: horrible customer service, slow reaction to any issue, and prone to making "mistakes" with your money.

The staff of this branch is quite helpful. Likely because no one except your grandmother uses bank branches anymore, so they have lots of time on their hands. They even gave my two year old a piggy bank. This branch is pretty typical, with teller windows and staff to assist with more complex transactions and loan applications. Be sure to visit one of these American institutions before they go the way of the dodo!

Mortgage Dept is understaffed and extremely unhelpful. Went to refi last year in September 2012 and Suntrust had my 2nd mortgage at the time that I had to subordinate. They took over 2 months to complete a simple subordination request!!! Cost me over $1000 in loan extension fees. Having had ST Mortgage currently and in the past did nothing to help. My loan finally funded in December but they did not receive the wire until after the cutoff on the 28th so they posted my payment on the 31st and then reported me 30 days late as a final parting shot. Of course if you want to do a mortgage with suntrust they will jump through hoops but once they have you don't expect any special treatment. Very disappointed in this level of service.
