I should have read these reviews before opening an account with this institution. I walked in and was helped by a friendly associate to setup a new checking account. I followed their steps setting up direct deposit in order to avoid penalties towards my account balance. I also opted in for paperless billing during my account setup. Unfortunately, I was charged $3 for paper statements and a $15 fee that I never could get to the bottom of. I spoke with multiple different agents that incessantly refused to void the charges. I finally told them they would not continue to have my business and the woman instantly canceled my account and mailed me a check. Horrible customer service and they lost a great potential customer, as I live right down the road. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Went to the Joelton, TN branch to use ATM. This machine was FILTHY dirty! Obviously not been cleaned in a very long time. Then it has no cash withdrawal available at noon on a business day! Whoever the genius at SunTrust that arranged this merger is should be fired. I’m done with this joke of a bank.

If I could give no stars I would. I didn't want to open an account here to begin with but my husband asked me to give them a chance. I have had nothing but issue after issue with this bank. The first time going in to open an account they were rude. I got so upset I left. My husband again talked me into going back and opening an account. Once we did it has been an awful experience. The ATM most of the time doesn't work. They were bought out by truist and if you call for help good luck with that. Furthermore we got a xmas bonus from my husband employer and they are holding it till the 21st of Dec. Saying how it could be fraudulent how is a Xmas bonus check fraudulent? Now they have jeopardize all of our bills and ruined xmas all together all because the banks wants to hold a 1600 check. We gave called and went in person. Nothing is resolved even though it's a payroll check and our account by no means is new we have had it over a year. This bank stinks so does their service and forget about customer service. Not to mention other people I have spoken to have had similar issues with their holds so if you don't need your money for weeks, months and you want to let a bank draw interest on ypur money by all means please go to Suntrust/ Truist. Absolutely a nightmare.

Suntrust bank since the merger with BB&T is terrible to deal with. They upped my checking account fee to $20.00 and I can't get them to close it. I get the balance to 0 and they tell me I need to wait and make sure nothing else posts. Something else posts and they charge me another $36 overdraft fee. It's several hundred dollars so far......

OMG - worst bank ever!! They have been sending me some company's bank statements, withdrawal statements, everything - I have called them five times to tell them that this company is NOT at my home address, I do not know of this company and to please call the company directly and ask them their correct address. To date, this has not been don. Unbelievable. No wonder there's so much bank fraud! If you treasure your privacy, DO NOT BANK with Suntrust!

Don't listen to the negative reviews. We called at 8:00 in the morning and asked about a clutch and Randall told us he would call us right back. He called back 20 minutes later with the price which was a great deal! We had the clutch 2 hrs later. Friendly service. Will never go any where else.
