“Sitting on Woodland Street in the heart of 5 Points in East Nashville, Woodland Wine Merchant is a small, yet robust shop that specializes in all things wine with a dedication to the lesser known variety. We popped in recently in search of a specialty bottle of wine for a gift and while they did not have it in stock, they did recommend the "sluttier" friend of the wine we were after...and that is all they had to say! All the wines were well situated and displayed throughout the store in sections that made sense and for the most part, pricing was pretty good as well. I was pleasantly surprised at the price of most bottles. In addition to wine, they did have a small section of spirits, beers and add-ins/mixers. Service was solid. The owner was friendly and helpful. Overall, great local spot for the wine lover in us all!”

I would say there is less beer than in nearby competitiors, but their selection of Whisky makes up for it. I also noticed that the prices are generally a few dollars less than other places nearby.”

“Can’t say enough about this place. Great selection, super relaxing, and the beers rotate pretty fast so going frequently isn’t an issue. Nothing in the world more relaxing than sitting outside in their outdoor area and smelling the wood / barbecue next door. Only knock would be sometimes seats are hard to come by, but that’s what happens when you’re a popular place.”

“If you are old enough and not religiously or medically prohibited from drinking, you gotta try this place. I don't drink often and when I do I have to choke down the drinks due to my dislike for the taste of most alcohol. I was in the mall as the Sunday free samples was about to begin (Noon). Bear in mind I am not a fan of moonshine, but some of this stuff was seriously good.The tasting goes in order and you get one sample of each. you walk up and put your ID (which cannot be expired) on the bar and the bartender will give you a glass (1/4th oz.). He will work down the list in turn walking around the bar with each flavor until he gets to the bottom and he starts back at the top of the list again. You get to try each flavored moonshine once.I was impressed with the Sweet tea, Coffee, Chocolate, Orange and strawberry.the bartender is also basically doing a comedy routine the whole time which makes the sampling even better.I also picked up a couple jars of pickles for the wife.”

“Whenever I make a trip here I'm always pleasantly surprised by how much they have. Everything is organized and well stocked, the staff is friendly and helpful. Occasionally step up offering samples of different items in the store. A huge selection on Vodka's and Whiskey's, with good options for other liquors as well. They have multiple sizes of the brands they sell, which for me is a huge plus as I'm working to stock my home bar.Over in their mixers they have one of the best selection of bitters and bar staples over seen in a liquor store in Nashville. Even carrying some non alcoholic spirits as well. When checking out the staff are usually engaging in conversation about what your getting, offering drink recipes or wishing you a happy birthday .”
