Even good quality coffee and cookies. Their service is always friendly and kind. Importantly, their CD rates are the best.”

“Ok so…My granddaughter and I went to a local bank to open an account. When we walked in, everyone greeted us with a resounding “Hello! How you doin’ today? How can we help you?”We found Kathy.Kathy is just the sweetest most personable bank manger I have ever met... So is everyone else I meet in Tennessee. And I told Kathy that because after she found out I was from California, she quickly exclaimed, “Well welcome! We’re so glad to have you!” I said to her, “Kathy, every single person I meet in Tennessee are the kindest most sweetest people I’ve ever met. I feel so welcomed everywhere I go.” To where Kathy said, without skipping a beat, swiftly told me why. She said, “We’ll honey, you’re in the Bible Belt and that’s just how we were all raised over here. To live by the ‘Golden Rule.’ ‘Do unto others as you would do unto you. We wouldn’t have it any other way.” Then went onto my paperwork, laughing and cajoling with us like we were old friends. Then when we were finished, she took us to the tellers and the other officers introduce us personally to each and everyone in the bank.Unbelievable.Lord Jesus I am home! Tennessee, brings out the best in people and I am living proof.For the rest of the day till now, I couldn’t stop thinking about my encounter with Kathy and the words she said has been on my mind and indeed is making a difference.In a world that has been wrenched with division and hate, loving people like Kathy and the sweet people at First Bank of Ooltewah and yes, thousands like them down here in the south, greeting this stranger with love and kindness EVERYWHERE I go is astonishing!I’m from California and I too was taught the Golden Rule but, have I gone out of my way to show a stranger this kind of love? I’m guessing not.This is something I will learn quickly because people like Kathy and the employees at the First Bank are giving this stuff away for free….I am in the SouthI am a TennesseanI am a SouthernerI cannot wait to welcome fellow pioneers and hopefully be as good as Kathy does.”

“My service was pretty fast, and everything was good with the service, but I'd like to say that I'm glad Regions is NOT like Bank of America in regards to being political. Bank of America celebrates wokeness and gives to Black Lives Matter. Isn't it time politics didn't rule every sector of society? I like the apolitical nature of Regions so far, but if they become politically active, I will switch banks!”
