“A definite need to visit! The skills the careers have are unmatched. You'll want to take everything home with you. A wide variety of things from toys, walking sticks to garden decor. The massive dragon on the roadside is a definite attention getter!”
“They are the greatest folks to work with. Not only are Burns paintings exceptional and those of woods as well but the frame shop is awesome. Can't think of any place I would rather have work done on some exceptional paintings of the smokies”
“We loved this place! Such beautiful work! It was a cold and rainy day. They had a great fire place with rocking chairs! So many beautiful items. I did find something for my bonus daughter! We also got to meet Mr Robert Alewine himself. He was a very nice man. My husband and I got to chat with him. He had been to visit our hometown and there we were visiting them!”
“My husband and I went to TN for our 1 year anniversary and Cliff Dwellers was our first stop for a basket-weaving class. Becky Weaver was an amazing teacher and so gentle and kind when both my husband and I made mistakes. Absolutely will be back for another class in the future!!
We walked in and you can just feel the sense of community within the artists that work there. It was a really cool experience and so much more fun than we thought it'd be. We'll probably check out some of the other classes when we go back to TN. If you're like my husband and me who love to take it slow and enjoy your vacation, I would absolutely recommend this over spending time in downtown Gatlinburg where everything is so overpriced and crowded.”
“Beautiful gallery at Terri’s former home. Her artwork depicting the Smokies is very wonderful and it’s no surprise she has been a successful artist for decades. The staff at the gallery is very friendly and helpful as well”
“Very beautiful gallery. My friend and I both purchased items while there. We would have stayed longer, however there was a nice lady working there that followed us from room to room talking to us, which made it difficult to enjoy the art.”
“My wife and I own six Henry Parker oil paintings and decided to visit his gallery in Gatlinburg a few years ago. Highly recommended for the nautical buff who's looking for some seascapes at a reasonable price. It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Parker in person and sharing our love for his paintings.”
“Awesome experience. Dropped in on a whim during our anniversary weekend getaway. Ended up purchasing a beautiful, unique painting done by Zac Kinkade, who also happened to be there along with his father Patrick. Everyone was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We love supporting small family run businesses, as well as tallented artists that capture lifes beauty in every brush stroke.”
“Super friendly,I ask if I could exchange an item I bought duplicates of and the gentleman ask what would make me happy. I said just to exchange a pair of earrings for another pair exactly the same style just in another color. His response was ok let's do it. . If you love art glass and beautiful photos this is the place to go. Exceptional customer service. I highly recommend you check this gallery out,”
“If you want a personal lesson on the banjo, this is the place! With purchase of a banjo, you get a video with lessons, case and accessories and all the help you need in the future.”
“Highland Craft Gallery is an absolute treasure of a shop. There is a diverse selection of crafts from local artists and Kathie was wonderful at providing their stories and processes for creating. As a long-standing member of the Arts and Crafts Community, she is passionate about the integrity of the goods being presented as local on the loop and provided a wealth of knowledge and guidance. This intensity is essential to the preservation of these art forms with a dwindling number of practitioners. We look forward to stopping in again on our next Gatlinburg adventure!”
“I have been coming here for many years to have my paintings framed, I absolutely love their personalities, atmosphere and work, from elegant to barn wood frames!!!”
