Blackberry Farms defines what it means to provide a 5 star experience. From the moment we arrived we experienced the most phenomenal service and attention to detail. Every meal was superb - farm to table, fresh, and creative. The rooms are comfortable with the absolute best sheets, mattress and pillows. The setting is serene and immaculate. We did skeet shooting, spa services and the farmstead tour. All were great.Food & drinks: The food was incredible. The menu each day was unique. The food was definitely a highlight.

I’ve stayed at The Farm and The Mountain multiple times over the years…I’m sad to say, the service has been going downhill quickly. What makes these destinations so incredible is the effort the team at Blackberry puts forth to ensure the guests have an incredible experience.I showed this evening, CHRISTMAS EVE, with my spouse and my dog (who I’ve traveled with several times and is a registered service animal). We were literally TURNED AWAY at the checkin and not only that, the GM was extremely disrespectful, not a bit empathetic and seemed almost happy about ruining our Christmas plans. This is extremely disappointing and uncalled for.We have treated many guests to Blackberry and I’ve got to say, I don’t think I’ll be able to overcome what just happened.Very sad.

Blackberry farm is a wonderful place. It's a luxury resort experience for sure, but through the filter of southern farm life. The rooms are large and comfortable, decorated like your staying at the guest room in your friend's farmhouse (your rich friend's farmhouse). The farm is definitely a working farm: you won't miss sights of sheep in the meadow, workers picking vegetables, or dogs barking at the kennel. That adds a great layer of warmth and character. It's luxury and everything is high-end, but there's a friendly casual nature to most of it which is very appreciated. That's especially true in interactions with staff, who will accommodate any request expeditiously, but also have no problem making a joke or two with you. As its known for, the dining is outstanding. Every meal was prepared beautifully and tasted phenomenal. Truly farm-to-table. I was worried the formal dress requirement for The Barn would make the experience too "stuffy" for me, but that wasn't the case: like everywhere else on the Farm, it was a luxury experience (probably elevated by the dress code), but treated with the casual warmth of southern hospitality that did not feel "stuffy." The activities are fun, exciting, and educational. Clay shooting, fly fishing, hiking, archery, name it. all more fun than I expected. My fear was that Blackberry Farm was a rich southerner's resort where I'd feel uncomfortable among linen blazers and cigar-smoking fly fishermen. But, thankfully, that fear quickly died after a few hours on property.

Blackberry Farm is a beautiful property that exudes comfort, great service and fantastic food/drink. One quickly falls under its trance to "let your shoulders come down" and just slow down your hectic pace of life. Our 4 nights flew by and left us wanting another visit ASAP. A very special place!

Blackberry Farm is a place we visit every year. It truly is unique in its beauty, tranquility, cuisine and customer service. Every detail to ensure your comfort and experience is anticipated and met. The views are spectacular! One event we always attend is Passing the Torch; highly recommend this event. Take a tour of the wine cellar; visit the kennel and pet the dogs; take a book and enjoy the views; and schedule at least one spa visit!! Mary Celeste has done an amazing, thoughtful job in keeping Blackberry a must experience !!

We had a dream family vacation at Blackberry and can’t wait to return again one day soon! Every detail was so thoughtful and spot on, from the gorgeous scenery to the creative and healthy food and immaculate service. Our farm tour with Dakota was the highlight of our stay. He is one of the most genuine and passionate people we met and you can tell how much he cares about his craft. Our daughter also got to meet about 20 puppies at once and I cannot even describe the joy that brought her and all of us. She also loved the kids club and begged to go every day. In fact the whole place was very family friendly and being pregnant, I also enjoyed the prenatal massage and all the delicious mocktails. Geniene was an excellent bartender and such a pleasure to chat with. I do think the room you book is important for the type of stay you are looking for. We booked a singing brook cottage which was on a hill in the woods and a 5-10 min golf cart ride to the main inn, very secluded and dark at night. Perfect for someone who is going for that but next time I’d book something closer to the main inn for our needs. Also think it would be great if there were more included or small supplement activities throughout the day - tastings, demonstrations, meet n greets etc. We look forward to our next stay!

I've been hearing about Blackberry Farm for many years, and I finally decided to take the plunge this past weekend. Since returning home, I'm still trying to decide whether the experience was worth the small fortune I shelled out. I realize the answer to this question is complicated and somewhat philosophical. We were a party of four, and I opted for two connecting "Singing Brook" rooms (these were located in one standalone cabin, each side of the cabin with its own master bedroom with one king bed, a huge bathroom and an outdoor porch area). Each of the rooms also had the use of its own golf cart, which was a fun way to zip around the property. Though this is totally gauche, let me tell you how much we paid for three night's lodging, three massages, six glasses-not bottles- of wine, and two excursions for four people (one farm tour, and one afternoon kayaking trip). Did you guess $24, 000? Holy buttery farm fresh biscuit, Batman! The "it was worth it" devil on my shoulder argues that the property was insanely beautiful, the service impeccable (with a dollop of southern charm and hospitality), and the food exquisite (three daily, utterly delicious meals included in the price of the room). But the "they ripped you off" devil on my other shoulder can't seem to get past the surprise $469 service charge per room/per night (not for tipping the wonderful staff, mind you, but for "facility up-keep"), and how about the $520 charge for roundtrip airport transport-each way a twenty minute drive-- (literally highway robbery). Now certainly, it's a .01% of the population, lottery-winning privilege to be able to experience Blackberry Farm. And the place was packed! I'm sure a large part of my ambivalence is guilt for blowing such a wad on this place in the context of such extreme income inequality and global warming. Blackberry Farm Empire can clearly do without my business. But why surprise me with the "Service Charge?" (it would be psychologically easier to swallow a higher room charge). And why rake-me-over-the coals with airport transport? There's nothing a privileged person hates more than feeling nickel-and-dimed! Anyway, I've gone on far too long. Thanks for allowing me to get this off my chest. I really have no answer whether it was worth it (it's too complicated).

A lot of people here do not consider this a part of Blount County. They just think of it as a place where rich elitest go.

Exquisite setting, very beautiful accommodations, fantastic food and snacks, very large wine list, and great /friendly staff! All meals were served to perfection. We loved our time here. The farm animals are an extra touch. I recommend the farm tour so that you can see all that the farm offers. We also took advantage of the Lexis Advantage program and drove over to Blackberry Mountain for a tour.

Fantastic food, service and accommodations. This was our second trip to Blackberry Farm. The first was on our 5th anniversary, 20 years later we decided to celebrate our 25th anniversary at this wonderful place. The property is beautiful and relaxing with plenty to do if you choose. The staff made our stay really special. Dont miss the farm tour and the Truffle Dogs!
