Natchez Trace State Park is a beautiful, over 10,000-acre park with lakes, hiking trails, riding trails, and camping. Visitors love it for family trips, returning yearly. The lake is peaceful for swimming and paddle boats, and there are plenty of daytime trails plus a 40+ mile overnight trail. The park features a museum and a unique wrangler camp. Recent renovations, especially the bathhouses with natural wood vanities, are very impressive. The staff is friendly. While the park is great, some cabins are dated and in need of remodeling, with issues like pests. The playgrounds are nice and well-maintained, and restrooms and picnic areas with grills are consistently clean.
Stayed in a beautiful cabin on the lake once going to Arkansas and stayed there again on the way back. Same cabin number 15. Loved it

Nice trails and so full of history. We only went to a few spots along it, but we had a blast. I’ll definitely want to take 3-4 days to do the whole Trace.
