We just spent two nights camping at the Cub Lake campground. The campsites had water and electric. The park was clean and well maintained. The campground is dog friendly.

We were only able to stay one night and a morning, but the lodge was comfortable, and the lake (the largest of four) was beautiful. My wife and I, our 23-year-old daughter, our two teenage sons, and our niece all went kayaking in two person rental kayaks, and we had a blast!

Clean and quiet State Park. We stayed one night as a stop over on a road trip so that we could hook up our van to electric and water. Lovely scenery but we didn’t do a lot of exploring.Showers were hot and facilities clean.

One of the most beautiful and comforting rides.❤️❤️❤️To just see nature on this trip is so worth it. There are restrooms, but for 95% of this roadway it's all nature..Highly recommend this drive. My son and I happened to catch a butterfly migration leaving Nashville headed South a few years ago. We counted over 700 in the first 20 miles. I've never seen anything like it..Beautiful creation, thank You Lord.Thank you park employees.Awesome.P.S. speed limit is 50mph, or$1000. Fine!!!Picnic area: Several historical sites and old buildings along the way.

A new bridge spans the northwestern arm of Cub Creek Lake. It was completed today, actually, according to a park ranger. The other bridge had some new boards. Deciduous trees are showing hints of warmer hues. The first week of November is usually when fall colors peak. Some interesting mushrooms and flowers line the trail. I found a geocache on the easternmost point of the Cub Creek Lake trail, though the log was a little moist.

Great campgrounds … we’ve stayed at the Wrangler and Pin Oaks campgrounds. We’ve decided we like the Wrangler Campground better as we still get cell phone service here which, for us, is more important than sewer hookup (there is a dump station). Pin Oaks has full hookups. Both are very clean and well maintained. Amazing Views and super friendly campers around. With all the campgrounds in close proximity to one another this is great place to Boat, Fish, Walk, and have lake side fun.

Natchez Trace State Park in Wildersville, Tn, just a piece off of I-40. This is our half-way point to Mississippi. We have been here several times at the Pin Oak campground. Its always a delight to stay. Very clean, quiet and close to Lexington if you need something. The camp hosts have always been very informative and helpful when needed. The sites are always clean and level for us. Our usual is #36. There are also handicapped sites to with plenty of lighting, one right on the lake. This park has lots of pull-thru which is nice for the big rigs. They are open all year. We walked to the dock as you see in the picture. There is also a swimming, picnic and play area for the families. The bathrooms are clean and there are several in the campground with laundries . The road coming in is normal for a state park pretty level, no steep hills. Oh, almost forgot, we have never stayed there but they have a equestrian and a separate shooting range in the park. Have fun!

We had a great time first week of August. Ghost town, literally no one in any of the campgrounds or hotel. We ended up going to hotel pool each day (included for cabin guests). They are two small sand beaches, plenty of paddle sports rentals available, decent trails. Very hilly, my bike was not used much. Ranger programs offered as well during busy times for kids. Friendly staff and well kept facilities.

Beautiful! We got a standard cabin. No TV, and no cell service. It was so nice to unwind. I traveled with a kid so we brought a TV so she could watch movies if we got rained in. Definitely going to make a yearly vacation.Playground: There were several playgrounds. The kid loved all of them.Picnic area: Picnic areas everywhere. They were all nice and well maintained.

Lovely park and designated areas and trails for everyone. Horse trails and hiking trails are separate from 4 wheeler trails. Hunting is allowed in some areas. Very clean, well organized state forest. Camping, horse boarding, cabins, lovely lakes with boat rentals, lodge with restaurants and loads of events. Very dog friendly, just keep on a leash. Walked around Cub lake yesterday, so peaceful. Nice beach with swimming area. Beautiful picnic shelters and areas. Big enough for huge family or school reunions. The pictures don't do it justice.
