I changed rooms 3 times. All my bathrooms were filthy. Shower heads were rusty and corroded. Toilets seats were yellow and peelings. My room smelled old and a little Smokey. My air conditioner unit was clogged with dust, and my hot water would not get hot in the bathroom. The water pressure in the tub was terrible as well. After switching rooms 3 times, I finally checked out and refused to stay at this hotel. I was very unsatisfied and disappointed with this Marriott location! I went across the street to the Hilton and it was a night and day experience. I’ll never try to use this hotel again!

We had 2 rooms booked for several days while visiting the area. Our first room had a faulty ac unit, but we reported it at the front desk the morning after our first night and they were able to get us moved to a different room and solved the problem. The rooms were clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful.Location was convenient for our needs and overall the hotel was quiet at night. I would certainly stay here again next time we are in town. The only small negative is that the rooms have a pretty small bathroom vanity area, but certainly not a deal breaker or anything that would deter me from coming back again.

This is an older hotel and our room was showing wear and tear. The room was poorly lighted. The desk needed a light with convenient electrical outlets for a computer and phone charging. I forgot that Courtyard does not provide the typical free breakfast of other limited service hotels. When we went down to breakfast, my wife and I ordered the top item on the menu. It was not available.only three of the dozen or breakfast items were available. There appeared to be only one person at the counter to take orders and prepare the food. We left and went 2 minutes down the street to IHOP. Great menu choices at less cost. There were two feral cats by the front door of the hotel, which were being fed and provided with water. Do the hotel employees clean up the cats fecal matter? Judging by the trash in the parking lot, I doubt it. The final bill included an undisclosed parking fee plus tax.

I would have rated the room as a 4 star except for the miserable beds. I do believe Motel 6 had a used mattress sale and Courtyard bought 30 yr old mattresses. Ours sagged in the middle, the springs made noises and I could hardly get out of the bed! Otherwise, the room was very nice.

Absolutely disgusting hotel. I was here on business when I first checked into my room. First room had black mold on ceiling (see pic). I requested I switch rooms and was placed in a “better room”. As I inspected the room for cleanliness, I found an open needle syringe with what appears to be drug paraphernalia in a bottle cap under the mattress. This absolutely should not have happened. I’m relived no children were in that room because they could’ve poked themselves with a dirty needle. I notified the front desk and Dan was very apologetic and stated I could speak to the GM the next day. I spoke to GM next day and she initially said she couldn’t find anything in that room. I told her it was under the mattress and she said, “oh my gosh, okay I thought it was under the bed.” I asked about being compensated for this dangerous stay and I asked for a couple nights free. She refused stating, “we are only allowed to give a max of 10,000 points.” I replied, “Okay, well can you at least let me bring my small pet dog for free the rest of my stay.” GM refused and only offered to cover the pet deposit but I will have to pay daily for my pet. The customer service is very poor in regards to being compensated for almost being injured by a dirty needle that should’ve been found. GM did not seem to care much about the issue. I will be forwarding pics to OSHA and corporate so this won’t ever happen again to anyone. This situation could’ve ended very badly to someone else.

The rooms were dated, carpet dirty, and toilet ran constantly. Asked for housekeeping and never received any. The Bistro was supposed to be open until 10pm, but when we got to the hotel at 7 p.m., they were closed! They floors in the hall & elevator were filthy. They said that they would comp us for 1 night, and we are still waiting. We love Marriott but will not stay at this location again.

I was in Abilene on business and attempted to do early check-in. The associate at the desk told me, not looking at my reservation or status, that the property as of two days before, no longer does early check-in. I thought it was convenient and rude in the way this info was relayed. I have Marriott Titanium status, so since I didn’t feel welcome, I ended up calling Marriott to ensure I could cancel my reservation and book elsewhere. I’m sure others have had better experiences, but as a business traveler, I was displeased at the lack of tact from the desk.

If you don't like cockroaches then this isn't the hotel for you.In our many years of traveling, we have never seen such a poorly run hotel. From the cockroaches in the King suites ( hate to imagine what the regular rooms have!), to the housekeeping who refused to come clean the room despite numerous requests over the course of the day, to the totally nonchalant staff at the front desk who would only reply "oh housekeeping didn't come? Gee that's too bad" without any effort to rectify the situation or even try to apologize for it..it is unfathomable that this hotel is able to keep running! There is nothing worse than charging customers hundreds of dollars for a hotel room that is filthy and disgusting. If you are considering staying here, take your money elsewhere and stay at any of the other hotels in Abilene.

My family drove 4 hours this evening for a 9:00 AM funeral tomorrow that is 1 hr away from Abilene. We are exhausted and have spent the last 3 hours switching rooms. The first room looked like someone was actively staying in it. Beds unmade. Linen everywhere.Second Room: TV doesn’t work.Third Room: A joining room and we could hear the people talking in the next room. A little creepy.Fourth Room: AC doesn’t work. It’s August in Texas. You need AC.It’s 11:30 and I need to get everyone bathed and clothes ironed for tomorrow. I called another hotel and they have one room available but their lobby is under construction. We decided to stay in the room with no TV. Which I’m sure we still have to pay full price for.Zero apologies or help from the front desk.

The outside of the hotel was a bit run down so we were initially concerned. The inside was surprisingly nicer than the outside, though. I wouldn't say it was great, but worth the $125 we paid.

This place seriously needs some attention! While the lobby is remodeled and updated, that's where the nice ends. The carpet in the hallways looks dirty and worn. The furniture in my suite room was dirty and stained. It's definitely seen some rough days and I'd be embarrassed to use this as one of my better rooms. The outside landscape and plantings are either dead or in the process of dying. The visible sprinkler heads are obviously not being used. The plus is.....the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They really make you feel welcome. I'm not sure I'll use this location again when in the area.

Location is run down compared to other hotels in the area. Dimmly lit, not clean at all. Grounds look unkept. Smells in the hallways and foyer. People smoking in the front where you unload. Looked to be employees. Would not recommend this hotel if staying in town.

Was rented out a room that had a bathroom flood from the previous guest. The rug was still wet. Yuck my feet got wet when I stepped off my bed. My room was 219. Beware of the pigeons singing to you in the early morning. The roost on the ledge outside your window. If you love birds this is the room for you. Do not rent this room if you had to use a walker or wheelchair. You will not be able to get in and out of the tiny bathroom. The toilet seat needs to be changed instead of just spray painted. The front desk staff is very nice. This hotel is in bad need of a remodel.
