I’m so happy to say that yesterday I had an LIFE CHANGING experience with JANNETT when I visited the post office!
She had the best customer service that I’ve had at any post office that I’ve been to in my life! So warm and friendly. But most importantly she CARED about me. That is something that can not be taught.
Jannett, actually liked her job and she wanted to help me, which is priceless.
In addition to her kindness she was an expert at helping me with my passport renewal and making sure I had everything I needed to getting my last name changed on my passport, taking my passport picture, and getting my mailbox keys she did all of this is 15 mins or less!
10 out of 10 stars!

Packages always appear to get hung up here for days even though they make it through much larger and busier terminals in a matter of hours.

I’ve had a mixed experience with the Abilene Main Post Office. On the positive side, the staff and supervisor that I spoke with in person were pleasant, polite, and professional. Truly, they were nice people. They did their best to assist once I was at the counter.
However, I’ve been dealing with a lost package since Monday, and unfortunately, the handling of the situation left a lot to be desired.
One major frustration was the inability to reach anyone by phone. I tried calling multiple times throughout the week with no answer. For a facility handling people’s mail, they should have a working phone line, or at least someone available to answer. I even went to another USPS location and asked if they could try to reach the main office, and even they couldn't get ahold of anyone after I watched them try to call.
I could understand when things get busy, that you can answer the phone, but I called multiple times throughout the day for 4 days straight with no answer.
After not being able to reach them, and not being able to see them in person because of my work hours, I opened a case through the website/customer service, but it was closed without the issue being resolved or any explanation provided. I only found out what actually happened after going in person, which shouldn’t have been necessary.
In short: very friendly staff in person, but poor communication. I hope they address the phone issue in the future.

Our postman is most excellent. In all the different states, in all the different neighborhoods we have lived in, Ray Courville is the best postman we have had deliver our mail. Good man, friendly, efficient and helpful.

They really chose to mess with me on the wrong day. I was working a night shift when I woke up and saw a notification saying that an attempt to deliver was made but couldn't be completed and that I'd need to pick it up. So, I go there in person to pick it up and they told me otherwise, saying it's in some cage for tomorrow's delivery... so why the heck didn't they just update the date of delivery to tomorrow instead of telling me I can pick it up when they won't let me!? Did nothing but waste my time, gas money, and patience.

My family of 4 applied for passports with Johnathan today and he was absolutely wonderful. He was very kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure we were fully taken care of. I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this post office, but if you need a passport, look for Johnathan… he is definitely worthy of 5 PLUS stars!

Lot's of issues. They don't answer the phones. Had an issue with my LLC mailbox getting blocked off as vacant and still working on getting it removed 4 weeks later. Visited the Pine St USPS numerous times and have Spoken with several supervisors who have given conflicting recommendations. As of this review, none of the recommendations have worked.

The delivery person has delivered my packages to the wrong address 3 not once not twice but 3 TIMES. They need to pay attention when looking at the ADDRESS!!!

I had very poor service at this USPS facility, first I came to apply for my passport and I gave the lady my ID with my current address on, yet after 6+ weeks, they had delivered my passports at the same address with no Apt # and no one is giving me straight answer. They had me waiting to speak with manager with no estimate time, I was just there waiting with no update and I had my sock along with me. They care about money and no customers that was very messed up of them and I hope they work on communication and pay attention on documentation when people are trying to get their documents specially when we pay for our services. I hate this place and I don’t think if I would like to return to this post office for anything.

There is a mail carrier that doesn't know how to place an item in a big mailbox and put the key to the big mailbox in your lot number mailbox so she screwed everything up. She needs more training or find another job possibly at a convenience store or something because she has no clue on God's green earth what the hell she's doing. Stop screwing up my packages please. Please get more training if you DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO YOUR DAMN job!!!!

What on earth is wrong with this post office???? No outbound mail goes to the right place. I had one 1st class envelope bound for DFW go out of state to Kansas when it should’ve stayed in Texas the whole time. I've heard others mail items with Texas addresses wind up in Oklahoma, should have never left the state at all. The second one that I’ve sent was 1st class to DFW guaranteed in less than a week and it’s been almost a month and never received it. Even with snail mail it should take 3 business days tops. Whoever is sorting outgoing mail has issues and I’m done dealing with it. This logistical incompetence in these federal employees is unacceptable.
If you have a document/package you can’t afford to lose PLEASE use a 3rd party carrier (UPS, FedEx, DHL, literally anyone else) because this use of our tax dollars is ridiculous.

Ordered an item just for it to come to abilene be sent to bangs tx on the day it was post to be delivered comes back to abilene for them to make another mistake and send it to aspermont tx. Is anyone paying attention there
