I work for a business and every single time I go thru the commercial line, I have the same teller and there’s always an issue. He takes forever to do deposits. Whenever I need change, he never disperses the correct amount. I didn’t get the coins I requested. I’ll try to avoid coming here. It’s ridiculous.

Nobody was at the drive-thru window despite ringing the call button. After waiting forever the girl finally shows up and didn’t even apologize!! So rude!!

I have been a customer since Community Credit Union. Customer service was, for many years, the reason I stuck around. Since the change from Legacy to Prosperity, the customer experience has taken a nose-dive. In an age and a city where one could throw a rock and bounce it off about 6 different banks, I cannot believe the unwillingness of Prosperity to keep a customer. I had an overdraft issue, which happens from time to time. Not only were they hard stuck in that they weren't going to help me out, Prosperity also charges an EXTRA $20 just as a middle-finger (I guess?) for having been overdrafted (for which, of course, they also charge you). This is ridiculous considering that, if you have a relationship with ANY other bank (in my experience), they are very easy to work with and forgive any one-off "oopsies" on the customers' end. They believe in the value of their services enough to not have to take from their customers when they make a mistake. I went from talking to the local bank to the customer service center and neither side seemed willing to help me out (a whole lot of "well unfortunately sir..."). Finally, being the stubborn person that I am, I got them to forgive the overdraft after a couple of hours of back and forth, but not without telling me that they put a note in the system that they would never forgive a fee for me again unless it was a bank error.Hey Prosperity, I promise you won't ever have to worry about that again.

I've been reading some surprisingly less than stellar reviews here and wanted to counter with my experience. I have had nothing but amazing experience with Legacy. When it switched to Prosperity, there were some hiccups during training that seem to have smoothed out... I don't feel nickel and dimed at all! I have my business account here, a personal savings account, and my mortgage. In fact, I would never have gotten a mortgage if it wasn't for this bank, because I own my own business and don't have the regular W-2 income most mortgage cos look for... I also just did a refi this week with them and didn't even look elsewhere, because the rate was awesome and I didn't think it was worth an eighth of a point to give up their customer service... they also made the PPP process, both applying and forgiving, very simple - saving my biz! Maybe the other users don't have the same type of accounts or don't have much money or activity here... But I have been here for a very long time and have lots of activity and I've never had a charge except to buy physical checks which I really don't use that often... In fact, one of my clients wanted to pay me via electronic transfer that had a fee... I called the bank and they waived it. They also freely gave me the direct line to the manager and to the bank's main number. I have direct emails to the mortgage banker and the manager, and they're always very responsive... I've even called the number listed for this location on the iPhone app and somebody answered after hours through a service... So I'm not sure why these other people aren't getting good service... I can't remember a time over the past 12 years that I've had anything more than a hiccup that was annoying... Such as being used to going through the drive-through and them knowing exactly what I want then having to tell the new person what my specifications were... Totally reasonable, but they had spoiled me! I highly recommend this location... Which is my only experience with Prosperity.

Prosperity is just a terrible bank. They charge overdraft fees for pending transactions even though the money is in your account. Ridiculous. Please stay away from any product from this bank.

Walked in and was completely ignored until I interrupted two ladies (tellers) having a conversation. I'm sure they were talking about work but they decided that I, as a customer, was less important than their conversation. When I got impatient enough to interrupt them they told me I would have to talk to a banker and they would get one and then continued their conversation instead. The only reason I am not giving this one star is the banker was very polite and helpful. However, in all honesty I should not have had to go in at all, I simply needed to open a checking account and clearly most banks have figured out how to do this online. Further the policy about the security word with no prompt questions is unique to Prosperity in my experience and in all honesty I'm likely to forget the security word without a prompting question. All in all I need a checking account for when I run into large sums of cash and to send my mother money quicker. If there was another free account option I would have taken it. If there was a fee of even $1/mo I would have found another way.

Since Prosperity Bank has bought out Legacy Texas Bank, my trust and reliance on where my money is kept has gone suspiciously awry. Online banking/mobile banking experiences frequent outages, making it impossible to make or review transactions remotely. To further hamper my confidence, attempting to reach a human at this establishment to ask what's going on will send you on a time-suck through a never ending loop of phone call dead-ends (whether you choose their 800 number or a local branch number). Prosperity's open lack of concern for communication to their "valued customers" is enough proof to steer wide and clear of this presumptuously, generic-named institution.

Guess the other review was a Prosperity Bank shareholder. The purchase of LegacyTexas Bank by Prosperity is a horrible deal for LegacyTexas bank members. Prosperity has no customer service and is in the bank greed business of nickeling and diving as many fees out of everyone who walks through the door. I am so heartbroken for the former LegacyTexas employees, who were great at customer service. The new ownership is ruthless with policy and process. Working closing all of my accounts or 40+ years.

I have been banking here for over 20 years and the employees are always super courteous and efficient. It is really easy to get in and out of and their online banking serves most of my needs really well. The new ATM is super!
