“Chris went out of his way to help me by carrying the big floor length mirror I wanted to the front of the store for me (so I could shop more and buy it at check out when I was ready)
Then, he went the extra mile and found me when I was checking out and made sure to offer again to carry the big mirror to my car and also loaded it in for me! This was 5 minutes before they closed so it really was a relief to have his help with that because I would’ve felt I was perhaps putting myself in a vulnerable position if I’d been alone in the parking lot at night attempting to load it in myself. Chris’s help made me feel safe and I so appreciated it knowing he helped me even though it was the end of the night!
When I pulled out my wallet to try to tip him, he said “no no!” and wouldn’t take a tip. What a great employee and great person! I hope this store and its management truly cherish Chris as an exemplar employee, because as someone who used to work in retail, people like him who really care and go the extra mile for customers are what keep people coming back to the brick and mortar stores. And unfortunately there’s less and less employees with the attitude and effort to stand out to customers as caring nowadays. I really appreciate Chris and who put customer service first tonight and took the initiative to represent Ross in the best way possible.”
