“This is a gem of a store. While not a full size grocery store, they have the essentials and good selection of those. Milk, eggs, bread, cereal, drinking water, etc. AND, they have some great gift items. The staff are always friendly. It is so convenient if you're staying out in the desert vs having to drive into town in either direction.”

And the bakery area has a lot to choose from! So anyway, I have became a regular shopper at that store and will continue to do so!”
“This store had everything I needed--even the type of cabernet I buy. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the checkout lady wouldn't let me buy my wine. The reason given was that my drivers license had been cut diagonally (because I had to renew it & had not yet been sent the new one). I offered my other official state ID. She said it wasn't adequate. I'm wayyyy past the legal age. I had to leave the store without it.”
“They fixed it but that expiry is just a Best Buy date for freshness. It won’t get you sick. This is the only real grocery store nearby the best Thai restaurant in the town.”

“This Dollar General is new to Alpine.
It’s nice, clean, well stocked, and has everything you need.
The customer service is very nice and I like that there is plenty of option for self-checkout.
I am really impressed with this DG, and it’s easy to use the coupons @ self-check out and I was happy to see items that were one dollar, that’s rare nowadays.
Takes cash and cards, does have restrooms.”

“Unbelievably delicious Birria we've ever had! Have no doubt...order the ramen, tacos, and the enchiladas....they were amazing. Truly a delight after a long drive back from Big Bend. Don't forget to add the Agua Fresca!”
