The atmosphere is filled with great cowboy culture and Texas friendly staff who are willing to help. The motel is aged but well kept, fitting its true rustic theme. It is conveniently located just a few steps away from the famous Big Texan Steak Ranch, a must-stop road trip legend where you can get food and a beer without driving. The food at the restaurant is described as amazing and really good. Some guests note the facilities need a little attention, mentioning a pool in poor condition, some noise, and minor room issues like a cracked toilet seat or a gap under the door. However, with easy check-in and a very convenient location right off the highway, it makes for a great one-night stay that many would recommend and visit again.
Great fun place and wonderful food! Our servers were great and we really enjoyed our stay. Very unique and rustic rooms. A must visit when you’re near Amarillo and Route 66!

It's your typical side of the road 60 year old hotel. The bed was ok, the pillows were ok. Nostalgic. We walked to the Big Texan for dinner. Both the hotel and restaurant allowed us to bring the dog, she had to be under the table at the restaurant. But it was nice to be able to bring her with us.

Such a cute, rustic place and close to The Big Texan restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay.
