“Mother daughter road trip from Oklahoma to California. We stopped in at the famous big Texan Motel. We had reservations so right before we got there. We received an email with our room number and the code to our door, which made it super convenient. The room was perfect. It was a very hot day, but the air-conditioning was on, and it was super comfortable in the room. We topped off the evening at the Texan steakhouse right across the way And it was fabulous! Highly recommend!”

Our room still Had keurig which made it convenient. Location easy access to many nice restaurants and easy access back to I 40 for travel.”

“Our stay here was phenomenal! I'm very cheap when it comes to hotels and I normally get a motel for like $100, but my spouse got this hotel room for $150 a night and it was well worth the money. Rooms were spacious, clean, good smelling, and the air conditioner was super powered. My kid told me to also relay on here that she's a terrible sleeper and she slept like a baby in that bed last night. Lots of linen options for anyone whether you sleep hot or sleep cold. The windows open and have a window screen to prevent bugs from getting in. The room is very clean and they did fancy, pretty things with the towels and the shower curtain to make it feel a little extra special. There were amenities such as an ironing board, a hair dryer, fairly big size room fridge, a microwave, a desk, a chair, a bench, washer and dryer, shampoo conditioner and body wash, fancy soap and lotion, and more. The pool is big and clean and they have specific pool towels available. The free breakfast was amazing, probably the best one I've been to. It includes Texas shaped pancakes with toppings, lots of condiment options including lots of sugar free options and sugar substitute packets, 10ish different flavors of tea bags, eggs sausage and biscuits with gravy, yogurt with toppings, lots of baked goods including muffins, bagels, Manifesto brand brownies, etc. they had 3 flavors of cream cheese, mini Nutella and peanut butter packets, fresh fruit, and more. They also had fresh, cold water and 3 types of juice. It was amazing as far as hotel breakfast buffets go, and it was complimentary. Everyone working there was friendly and quick and kept up with making sure everyone's needs more met. I got pictures of the food available for breakfast and of the facilities. Lots of parking available. No elevator but the doors are outside the stair shafts and so it wasn't very far to walk to get from our car to our hotel room. The pool has one of those ADA compliant motorized seats for people who need to be lowered into the pool. I think that's a nice touch because most hotel pools don't have that available. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.”

“Great breakfast. Very clean throughout the hotel. Front desk staff was friendly. Lobby had a pool table and connect 4 for the kiddos. Two queen bed room was good-even had a mini fridge (smaller than some hotels but we fit in a gallon of milk on its side. Rooms had hangers and ironing board. There would be no room for a play n pack or crib. Great location right off the freeway (but still quiet.) good parking-even if you’re bringing a moving truck.”

“Overall, this was a clean, newly renovated hotel, and the rooms accurately reflected the photographs shown on the Best Western website. The property was modern, well maintained, and provided a comfortable stay. The only disappointment involved our special request. We were traveling with my 90-year-old mother and specifically requested adjoining rooms or rooms next to each other on the top floor. While I understand these requests cannot always be guaranteed, they were not accommodated, and I was left with the impression that our request may not have been reviewed before our rooms were assigned. Simply acknowledging the request or explaining why it could not be honored would have been appreciated. Breakfast was adequate, with a decent selection of items, but nothing particularly memorable. The breakfast area was also somewhat small and became crowded during the busiest part of the morning. Overall, this was a good stay. The hotel was clean, updated, and accurately represented on the website. My only recommendation would be for the staff to pay closer attention to guests' special requests, particularly when they involve traveling with an elderly family member.”

“We had a wonderful stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Amarillo. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming from start to finish, from the receptionist to the janitorial staff and everyone we interacted with. Their warmth and attentiveness really made our stay feel comfortable and pleasant. Our room was clean, cozy, and well-kept, which we very much appreciated after traveling. The lobby was inviting with the bar being a nice surprise that added to the overall experience. If we are ever staying in Amarillo again, we will definitely be choosing this hotel. Highly recommend!”

“Our second time at this hotel. We especially like the outside of the building, classic rather that ultra modern. We like that the fridge and microwave are stacked near the door, and not part of the bedroom space. It was clean and the staff was pleasant. We drive across country twice a year, and if we use a route through Amarillo, TX, this is where we would stay.”

“Good rooms, good service. Never had any complaints. The location is close to the interstate and since Amarillo isn't that big, you're close to most things to do. The only thing is that you're near some slightly sketchy industrial and commercial areas but I've never had issues. I stay here every time I drive between Colorado and Texas and enjoy it every time.”

“The manager was very friendly. The room was very clean. The water in the shower did not get hot but the bathroom was nice. The pool was perfect & the guy who keeps up with it was very nice, he does a good job! As well the dirty blonde woman in charge of breakfast today was very sweet & on top of her station! I was able to park close to the entrance & the stop didn’t take a single minute off of my trip from Colorado to Texas. Thanks to you all for accommodating me!”

“We travel often with pets and Motel 6 is our go to place to stay. They are so accommodating to us and our fur babies. We stay in Amarillo regularly and have stayed at all three Motel 6 locations and this one is the best! The staff is kind and welcoming - shout out to Meredith and Cindy - you all are helpful and professional. Check in was easy, the room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The coffee service in the lobby was tasty and the premises were secure. Thank you for a great stay and we will definitely be back!”

“I would love to give everything a 5-star rating, but sadly, my nonsmoking room didn't smell that way when I checked in. There wasn't anything that the staff could have done. The sauna was drained, and the spa wasn't operational. The carpet in our room had a very large tear in it, and the pipes in the shower moved when I turned it on and off.The desk manager was fantastic with our later check-in and was very accommodating by giving us information we might need immediately.The room was nice and cold for being in Texas. The indoor pool was nice and warm but very cloudy and burned badly when I got splashed in the face by the water.Overall the staff was amazing, the room was subpar, and the pool was a bit concerning.Rooms: The room was nice and cold for being in Texas, but smelled heavily of cigarette smoke when we got checked in (Growing up in the 90s it is a smell I know far too well.) The carpet had a very large gash in it near the 2nd queen bed. The shower was hot but the pluming was a bit sketchy. The shower head pulled out of the wall when we were trying to adjust the pressure by about an inch.”

Bed is firm.Noteworthy details: They don't leave those tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion and the tiny skin drying soap bar. They have pump bottles attached to the wall. Didn't have to make coffee on the bathroom vanity either.”

This was our first time at a staybridge and when we arrived their system showed they overbooked so they automatically upgraded us to a larger room at no additional charge. Room was great. “Truly are there any perfect Motels Hotels out there? Every one expects so much out of place the provide a service some meet the customers expectations some don't. At the end of my stay headed home feeling well rested and rejuvenated. The staff was amazing the room was clean with no odor or bedbugs. What else can we really expect? My needs and questions were met. I seen changes being made at this place constantly up until around 5 pm. All motels are governed by an owner if they have good management skills you will see it in the quality of service right away... I heard some really good ideas during my stay here these ideas will definitely bring me back in the future.”
