When my car blow the transmission they were the first one I've found, once they fixed it gear 3 was a problem after 6 months of rebuilding than on the 7 months first gear started acting up so I sent it back couples weeks after they forgot to tighten screws and my transmission started leaking again once again got it back for 2 days but only drove it for 2 hrs and let it rest for the rest of the 2 days now when I drive it the transmission acts funny like it doesn't know when to shift.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. I bring my Volvo in for just maintenance. I was starting a new job with a farther drive and just wanted to make sure everything was all good. I knew a few things needed to be fixed like my battery and my car outlets weren't working so I mentioned that. Jose came recommended to us and we felt safe going to him. Boy were we wrong. I get the quote back $900. Needed a new battery, outlets fixed and a new coolant reservoir. Okay, I was fine with it. I was a little worried how long everything was taking. Dropped my car off Thursday afternoon and on Monday morning it still wasn’t even looked at. Eventually Monday afternoon, I got the quote and told them to go for it, since I started my new job Wednesday and had no other option at this point. Finally picked it up Tuesday afternoon and thought everything was fine. Drove it home which is only a few miles away no issues. While driving to work on my first day, I only get half way there when my car starts uncontrollably shaking and check engine light comes on. I called Jose while slowly driving to work freaking out. Jose tells me he will call me a tow and I asked if I had to pay for that and he said if it had something to do with what they did then no. I tell him I don’t want to pay for a tow and he says to just give him my work address for the tow. Later when I get the quote another $480! For what you may ask? Something that was totally fine before I brought it to AAMCO PLUS towing!!! I’m a younger girl so of course he knows he can take advantage of me. I am trying to work at my new job, while dealing with a tow, finding a ride home and figuring out what to do. I tell my dad to help me because I don’t know what is going on. My dad calls him with my mom there and next thing I know Jose is “scared” because my dad was “threatening” him. My dad is the sweetest human and would never. I asked my mom exactly what my dad said and she was shocked that Jose would even say that because my dad was simply just asking for an explanation. Apparently, Jose said rats chewed on something in my car that mind you is attached to the BATTERY they just replaced. He said it was not like that when I left and I must have a rat problem. I’ve lived at my house for years and years and have never even remotely seen a rat. But I leave my car with them at their dump for 6 days and all of a sudden I have rats at my house? BS. Absolutely terrible experience. Not only did he lose me as a customer, he lost my mom as a future one and the 2 customers that recommended me. They were also disturbed by the lies Jose told. What started as a simple maintenance check turned it $1300 worth of money and a stupid amount of stress.

They are not as honest as they look or say. They are rippers, i took in my Tahoe because the AC was blowing heat air, only for them to replace all the cooling systems for $2,229 and forget the blowing heat problem, I took the car back to them and this time they said it was a Thermal Starter and I ended up paying another $750 for it. These people are joking with people's feelings. It was the worst experience i have ever had at a mechanic shop. I will not recommend anyone to seek service at this location. Please take your business elsewhere. They are not trustworthy, don't pay a lot of money for worthless service.

They wanted to charge me $1400 to drop my transmission and see why I couldn't engage in gear with my clutch. I took it to another shop that fixed it without dropping the transmission, only $600 with parts and labor. They tried to stop me from going to Jackson Automotive (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) by giving me a guilt trip talk. "Were the best. Don't go anywhere else, they'll mess up your car. We know what we're doing." Typical salesman pitch. Untrustworthy.

Garbage place charged me $175 to tell me something I could have figured out by opening the hood and using a flashlight. Not recommended at all please take your business elsewhere unless you want to be given the runaround 🤡

Fix the car OK, but very expensive. (Labor rate $165 an hour and extreme mark up on parts.) There was a big problem understanding how to work on the new computer controlled cars. Advice is stick to driving old cars that you or any mechanic can understand. Unless you are the one percent (multimillionaire) better learn auto mechanics or wind up in the poor house real quick.

I was from out of town and brought my old '96 Yukon for service two times. The first was diagnosed as a loose connection with the cam shaft sensor. They charged me the diagnostic fee and could have scammed me BUT they DIDN'T. The second time was weeks later after traveling close to 3000 miles, I had a major leak in the transmission cooling lines. The roads across America are rough! They repaired it and I was able to continue on with my trip. Thank you, Jose and AAMCO!

It's my second go round with Jose and the team. This time I was riding down Burnet getting onto 183 when my engine falls out of the bottom of my car smashing the timing cover and breaking an axel. I have to get this done fast b/c i have shared custody and need my car. They got it done in 2 days 500 bucks under the estimate b/c they found something they thought was broken was actually only dirty, so they DID THE RIGHT AND ETHICAL THING THAT SAVED ME MONEY AND COST THEM MONEY. There's a skill, speed, and humanity about this shop that has won my repeat business as well as a justly deserved 5 star review.

This email is different than what you have on file, but I wanted to get this out as soon as I could. After having axles replaced, that go into the transmission, at another facility, on Superbowl Sunday, one fell out and I was stuck and blocking traffic at an intersection. The car would not move at all. When the tow company put my car on his truck all the transmission fluid drained out. I had no idea what or why, but thought for sure my transmission was dead. Once I got my car to Jose at AAMCO he assured me they would be able to diagnose the problem and get me back on the road as soon as possible. And they did.
First Jose is very personable and kind. He is very knowledgeable about the transmissions and the whole engine of the car. And he has been there for a very long time, which says a lot about the company he works for. So he put me at ease about what "could" be wrong, and reassured me that they would fix my problem, he was absolutely right. They diagnosed the problem, fixed the axle that had come out, replaced all the transmission fluid. He had my car back to me fixed in a matter of hours.
I would highly recommend this AAMCO to everyone that is needing any kind of transmission help. The work they do is excellent and the customer service you get from Jose is over the top. This is a 5 star business.

When I took my car to the dealership, they told me it’d be two weeks before they could even get someone to look at it. Jose and his team at AAMCO got the repair done in ONE DAY. Professional and friendly, 5 stars
