I've had a few repairs and a major purchase from CZ over the last couple of years and have received great service every time. I would highly recommend them!

I dropped my slow 10 year iMac off on Saturday and first, before powering up the computer, was told i needed a new computer, I need something to get me through the next couple of years is what I need!! I was told they would call later on Saturday with diagnostics, as by Monday I had not heard anything I called to be informed I needed a new computer but they could replace the corrupted hard drive and it would be ready Tuesday and they would call. By late afternoon Tuesday I had not heard anything so I called again, to be told it would be ready Wednesday and they would call. By late Wednesday I had not heard and called to be told it would be ready first thing Thursday. I called at opening on Thursday to be told it would be ready in 30 minutes, when I arrived at 10.30 I was told the engineer had not arrived and it would be another 30 mins. An hour later I had to leave for other appointments. I eventually got a call about mid day and had to make another 40 mile round trip. Not impressed as they just want to sell you new stuff and don't communicate, nor did they respect my time or compensate.

They took care of me and got my phone working today. Service was nice, but the experience reminded me of old school Apple, where their priority was technical expertise. I got to avoid going to a mall, and was in-and-out within 15-minutes.

I made an appointment and went into inquire about whether or not I could potentially get some credit or worst case just recycle my old laptops, AirPods and Apple Watch. No one greeted me initially, or ever actually now that I think about it. The owner had to call people out from the back to help as a line was building up. They definitely seemed less than enthused to come forward. When I explained to them my inquiry, they were dismissive, and quite frankly rude, specifically the owner/manager figure. They did try to give me a couple of options- donate to city of Austin or a school--That's why I went with two stars instead of one, but they really did not hear me out and seemed too busy for me. I won't be going back.

I came in with what I thought was a dead iPhone, and they were able to fix it in less than 15 minutes and didn't even charge me for it! I had tried to multiple methods to reset it several times with no success, so I'm not sure what magic they worked in the back but my phone is good as new. Thank you!

Ethan was great! Quick, efficient, and professional. He able to fix my phone quickly by thinking outside the box in ways I'm not sure Apple would've done.

Zero stars with a recommendation to avoid this business. Upon bringing in an iPhone with a cracked screen for replacement, the first problem was poor communication. Was told to come back after 10am the next day. However, I wasted time in Austin 5 o'clock traffic the next day to be told the new phone still wasn't delivered and to try again the next day. Finally, after getting the new phone, the worst fear of losing all of my data was realized. After multiple concerns of wanting to use the wifi transfer to save all data on to the new device, I was told the store was too crowded for that option. Without being told what was being done to my old iPhone, the employee took it and erased all data prior to fully setting up the new device. Again communication was awful and on top of it customer service was terrible as employee was very rude and condescending about the situation.

I took my old iMac in some time ago after I bought a new one, I wanted all the data on a flash drive and keep the old Mac that was slow but functional to donate. When I returned they told me all they could do was give me the old hard drive but NOT the Mac. My fault I LET them rip me off but I know I will NEVER return to this place !!! Liars + thieves .

The MacBook Pro that I had them work on failed after 5 months of use. It was a battery and keyboard replacement. At this point, my AppleCare had expired and they quoted me $450 to replace the battery. It turns out that Apple only provides a 90-day warranty. So if another 5 months go by and the battery fails again I would be SOL. As an authorized Apple repair shop they are probably restricted on their rates and use of third-party parts. So my issue is more of an issue with Apple than CompuZone. Still, $450 for a battery replacement is ridiculous no matter how good they are or who they're affiliated with.So with all that happened, I contacted Apple tech support directly and explained the situation and they agreed to replace my laptop battery for free even though I was only 2 months out of the support contract. So the lesson here is to contact Apple first. They're likely to work with you more than through a third party could do. Stay safe, Stay healthy

There is no option for zero stars, so I will post as 1. My intent is zero. I brought my MacBook in as it was freezing and I needed to regularly reset PRam. They called and said they needed to send it in to Apple and asked me to bring in a hard drive to backup the data. Shame on me for not doing this task myself, but I brought in a 2TB hard drive as requested and gave them my login and password. I have two accounts on the computer, one for work, one for personal. I told them not to bother with the work account as there was no substantive data there, I just needed personal files backed up. I picked up my computer yesterday. They had wiped the hard drive and not backed up my data. At first they lied to me and said that they couldn't get the hard drive to work. After further pressing and proving that the external hard drive was functional, they said that they didn't have the password. The email exchange showed the truth. They were lazy, sloppy, and dishonest. If you have mac issues, please just use the self-mail option and avoid this location. I had an awful experience. I can maybe accept some level of miscommunication. But blatant lying about the hard drive not working is not acceptable.
