This place is so amazing! We visited from our post (post #88 Lake Dallas!) And the bartender was so nice and so were the members!! It was so welcoming!

I stopped by there, not that friendly place is it's not open for the public like other American ligions, I rung door bell, Door open and a man opend door and asks polite how can he help me ask him that if me and wife can go in. He ask me if I was a veteran or a member ,I said no. And slams door and yell HELL NO! I respect Veterens and never met disrespectful one's besides my experience, It would not bring me down,I will still respect Veterens any where ,I will like for this American legion post 38 changes this rule and take the door bell off and open doors to regular folks like me just looking for good people and drink a beer and make good friends and memories. This place dose not even deserves a star.

The first time I went to American Legion Post 83 I was welcomed and embraced like family. Great atmosphere. I am working on becoming a member. If you are a Veteran stop by you never know who you are going to meet. Space is big enough for 150 people. Always smells like cigarettes. Manager was rude to one of my guests over a small question about soda. Would like to know why water bottles aren't allowed. AC seems to be broken though it's being "fixed", not the first time I've experienced this.

This place is a place where friends and family come together to have fun. I love to come here after work to unwind and eat the specials that they have. Jean the Bar Host is in top of it!!! As soon as I / we walk in she has our cold drinks ready. She never tells to amaze me. Great attitude, even to those that can get obnoxious. Love her And the members there are very sweet and inviting. Makes you feel welcomed. Try it out, you won't be disappointed
