We’ve been clients at ADC for 3 years, and highly recommend them. Dr. Diesel picked up right where Dr. Nichols left off. My dog has environmental allergies, and also gets resistant skin infections occasionally. When he gets a flare up, they are always quick to respond to my emails, and fitting us into an appointment when needed.Skin problems aren’t a quick and easy (or cheap) thing to deal with. It’s also something we’ll be keeping in check for my dog’s entire life. Because of that, I’m grateful for an amazing team to work with.My dog is always so excited when he walks in here, which speaks levels due to the amount of biopsies and other treatments he’s had!We always receive a thorough write up after appointments, and I appreciate that they also send that to our regular vet as well so his medical chart is complete.

Excellent team. It takes a while to get an appointment here, but it’s well worth it - they helped diagnose my dog’s skin condition related to other underlying medical issues that are now being treated in a cohesive way with coordination of care across her doctors. Thank you Animal Dermatology Clinic!

After unsuccessful treatment of Stevie’s allergies by her regular vet we were referred to ADC for evaluation. We had to wait a few months for our appointment. Our first visit was a very thorough visit. We tried out some additional topical and oral treatments. Unfortunately they didn’t give us the results we were hoping for so we started allergy injections. Those combined with the oral and topical treatments are finally giving us amazing results. The picture shows the difference in one month. Stevie improved so much physically and mentally. I know it’s a bit expensive to get care at ADC but I highly recommend seeing them if your pet needs help. They will work with you to find the best long term solution to make both you and your pet happy!

Definitely recommended to go see Dr. Diesel for pet allergy needs. She spent a lot of time thoroughly looking over and examining our dog and answered our million questions. Our dog doesn’t let people touch his paws but did great with Marisol and the Dr. ❤️?I do take off one star because we were not advised ahead of time for intradermal testing that all antihistamines needed to be stopped at least 2-weeks in advance and there was some conflicting information regarding how certain medications are given but since we didn’t go home with any, it wasn’t a big deal.Additionally, I would recommend to the facility to put up some sound absorbers in the rooms as they tend to echo and get very loud.We look forward to seeing Dr. Diesel again after a few weeks of our current treatment plan and getting our fluffy butt back to normal.

I brought my dog here after a year of suffering from an unknown food allergen. The first visit was $300 dollars and was basically told there was no test for food allergies and that I needed to practice the elimination diet which I had been doing for months. I needed a test to see what she was allergic to, and they said there is no such test. So I asked around and there are numerous vets in CA that have this test. I should have saved my money instead of wasting my time at this "specialist."

My dog was seen today at AAD and we couldn’t be more pleased. We now have a way forward and are excited about getting our girl itch - free (as much as possible). Thank you!

The staff is great. Very friendly and attentive. The Dr. Was great too. Didn’t do any unnecessary testing and didn’t push us into anything we couldn’t afford.

Everyone was so kind and explained everything so thoroughly. I hate that our pup has to go through such bad allergies but I'm so glad that they're here to help us through everything.

Absolutely amazing! I have had my dog in a cone for 3 years due to constant hot spots and infections and had tried everything with my regular vets. ADC worked with me to have allergy shots and ongoing treatment for my dog that has led to way less cone usage (he will always have to be in a cone for allergy seasons but he was in one for a complete year so huge improvement). They treat my dog with love and are happy to see him every visit. They have given me hope that he will not have to live his whole life in a cone or constant pain from allergies.

We had to wait a while to get an appointment but it was worth it.Shortly after adopting our dog, I learned that she had a very rare condition. Dr. Nichols and the staff at AADC exceeded all reasonable expectations to help me and my dog. This is a fantastic team.HOW I FOUND DOCTOR NICHOLSMy dog has leishmaniasis, it’s virtually unheard of in North America. I spoke with people at the best veterinary schools in the country. I talked to dozens of the most well-regarded vets in the country, not a single one of them have seen a case of this, and none of them knew how to treat it. Multiple ABAI-certified vets in several states recommended that I contact Dr. Nichols.OUR FIST VISITPrior to our appointment, which was at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, someone from the office called to explain their COVID protocol and make sure I knew exactly how to get to their office.Like every other American vet, Dr. Nichols wasn’t versed in leishmaniasis, but he did a heck of a lot of research in the days leading up to our appointment with him. I couldn’t believe how much he knew. It was clear that he spent a considerable amount of time learning how to help *MY* dog. He’ll probably never see another leishmaniasis case again. We were sent home with medication and a four-page report and treatment plan written by Dr Nichols. I’ve never seen anything like this from any vet. My first conversation with Jennifer — Dr. Nichols’ right hand — was amazing. She explained everything in great detail. She reviewed the report with me and explained treatment options, while Dr. Nichols contacted the Centers for Disease Control and requested a compassionate exception for the medicine our dog needed. This was my first glimpse at the high level of cooperation at AADC.This staff is as efficient as they come. No time is wasted. Each staff member has a specific role and they work in unison to provide an outstanding depth of service. Every staff member is thorough, our conversations are never rushed, and their love for animals shines in everything they do.ONGOING CAREAADC is the reason our dog is still alive. After calling several pharmacies we learned that the medication our dog needed was $41,000 per month (seriously), but Jennifer worked with the manufacturer to get us an affordable price. Without her help, we would’ve had to euthanize our dog long ago.In the last few years I’ve had multiple interactions with everyone at AADC, they’re all great. Our dog gets very excited when we turn onto Lake Austin Blvd. Most of our interactions have been with Jennifer and Suzanne, they’re consistently fantastic. My dog now recognizes the phrase “Suzanne and Jennifer;” she excitedly bounces to the front door every time I say it.I don’t know what the absolute best veterinary team looks like, but I’m certain that it resembles the folks at AADC.

The staff at AADC is professional, prompt and kind, never hesitating to accommodate us, whether we’ve lost medicine on the other side of the country and need something overnighted, or if we’re right around the block. On top of that, the treatment for my pup’s extreme, myriad allergies was immediately effective, dramatically improving her quality of life going on years now. These folks are the best at what they do. Hands down.

I can't say enough good things about AADC! This is also my first google review, and I feel compelled to share the wonderful experience I have had. My dog has severe allergies, and I spent 2 years treating her multiple infections on her skin and ears with multiple rounds of antibiotics, steroids, Apoquel, and feeding her hydrolyzed protein. It was extremely expensive, the results never lasted, she was always at the vet. I finally took her to AADC where she was properly diagnosed, taken off of expensive medications and expensive foods, and received the correct treatment. She does receive immunotherapy with allergy shots, and the change in her skin is remarkable. Even though it is expensive in the short term, I have saved money on treatments/meds/vet visits due to having her treated properly. My only regret is that I didn't take her sooner. Highly recommend!
