Zein is amazing! She is a highly skilled bellydancer and bellydance instructor. Her understanding of the art enables her to instruct on how to keep the body safe while learning, as well as how to create the beautiful movements inherent to the dance. I love being a student in her class. Additionally, her Arabic Bazaar is a fabulous shop for everything related to bellydance, as well as lovely jewelry, lamps, rugs, clothing, home decor and so much more... all carefully hand-selected by her. A definite MUST SEE in Austin!

The Arabic Bazaar is a beautiful store and Zein is so gracious. I love going in there to shop and to take one her fabulous belly dance classes! Zein is an excellent instructor and I highly recommend her classes.

ABSURD, UNETHICAL AND POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES. In taking Belly Dance classes, I injured my knee on the store site. Per orthopedic instructions I need to take a pause for two months to allow for healing. I had five lessons remaining. In speaking to the owner about this, she stated I would lose the five remaining lessons unless I purchased another seven lessons to be used at a later date after the knee healed. So, despite this being the location where the injury occurred and being accommodating, the goal for the owner was to figure out how to get more money out of of my unfortunate situation. ABSURD!

8June2024 I met Zein the owner(this afternoon a little 12 noonish)of the fabulous shop. She is an awesome person and so welcoming. Zein teaches belly dancing inside of her beautiful store. Here presence is so zen and gracious. A beautiful person inside and out. She radiates kindness and gentleness along with being a professional.
So many beautiful items imported from Egypt ??, Syria ??,Turkey ??, Morocco ??. Gorgeous place and a must stop. Thank you for the baklava Zein.

Great shop. The owner travels the world & hand-picks all her merchandise & jewelry. The clothes, hookahs, and tea utensils are authentic. She is a very talented belly dancer & has taught it for several decades. She's very amiable & authentic. Enjoy.

I am so happy I discovered this place! Zein, the owner, is so kind and helpful and knows so much about her products. We chatted for almost an hour about them. She personally hand picks and designs these products in the Middle East. All of her products are authentic, beautiful, and many are even antique or vintage originals. None of the product is mass produced or Americanized copies, it’s amazing and I can’t wait to go back! We need more small businesses like this, it’s so hard to find authentic products like this, thanks for keeping it real!And to anyone who thinks this place is “too expensive” (I read the VERY FEW negative reviews) please bear in mind this is a small business owned by one woman, not a corporation, who travels around the world to collect this inventory. You might be used to lower prices for the mass produced products we are used to buying for cheap in the USA but you can’t get products like this for $9.99. You definitely get what you pay for and it is worth every penny! If you want it cheap and fake, get it on Amazon. If you want it real, go here!PS The stores refund/exchange policy is CLEARLY marked at check out and the owner was clear about it as well when I made my purchases, I have serious doubts about the one or two negative reviews that claim otherwise…

I hate this site, it's garbage, but I love this business so I came here just for them.)

A beautiful collection of high quality middle eastern jewelry, rugs, lamps, whatever you might want, they have it. And if not, they will order for you. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and very interesting to chat with. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone shopping for personal gifts, home decor, etc...

Absolutely love this place. The owner was incredibly welcoming and very friendly. The music and interior decor made us feel we were shopping in the middle east. Such a vast array of great quality products including outfits for professional dancers and stunning jewelry. Her personal recommendations were very unique. Highly recommend visiting!

The best belly dance teacher ever. I did take belly dance lessons online from other teacher but when I came here it was just another level. She makes learning the dance so much fun, I totally love it.Also the store is such breath takingly beautiful omg!!! U can find anything and everything here from the most magnificent art peices, chandeliers, jewelleries, rugs, clothing,furnitureIt's one of the "must checkout " stores if you're in Austin
