After having a TERRIBLE experience at the Southpark Meadows location, I took my elderly friend to my tried & true Slaughter location which I've been going to for many years.
This is the 2nd time within 1 month we've had to visit the fantastic manager Zach because my friend has dementia and misplaced her passcode notes to use her phone.
As usual, Zach was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and went well beyond our customer service expectations.
👉 Unlike the Southpark Meadows location, which treated us like an inconvenience, and basically encouraged us to leave by insisting they couldn't reset her phone without the passcode. (But they offered to sell us a new one!) 👈
I am grateful to have the opportunity to be a loyal customer at the Slaughter location. As a longtime owner of a marketing agency, I understand that loyal customers aren't earned through smooth transactions, but through meeting challenges. Thanks Zach and the stellar team at Slaughter AT&T!

Based on my experience at this store, it appears that it is their policy to "include" Next Up Anytime for $10/month and Protect Advantage for $14/month with any phone upgrade, and there is no option to opt out in store. So whether they inform you or not (they conveniently forgot in my case), you will leave the store the proud owner of those plans. You'll have to call AT&T if you want to cancel them. I would recommend you upgrade your phone at the Apple Store where this type of policy does not exist, until this company (Prime Communications, an authorized AT&T retailer) can fix their policy and allow customers to opt out of optional services from AT&T. Until we as consumers vote with our pocketbooks, they will just keep forcing these plans on people.
