This auction house is not a legitimate auction house in that they don't actually take consignments.I've reached out 3 times over the course of 6 months to consign valuable furniture in good condition and been told to reach out after the next auction. Needless to say, they apparently don't have space for consignments, or the process or intent to create that space in the future. If you need to consign your goods, look elsewhere.

What a pleasure dealing with Austin Auction Gallery and Victoria. This is my very first experience dealing with turning over my property (sterling silver flatware) for auction. And it was a pleasant one! Auction isn't until November but I'm looking forward to a very successful result. Thanks for your patience with this first timer Victoria!

Was here picking stuff up for a friend, so the 5 stars are for the young men that loaded the stuff in the cars for us. They were AWESOME!!!

UPDATE: Austin Auction Gallery LIES and refused the charge-back. They still allege the sword has a leather and wire wrapped handle, despite there being NO leather, cloth, or wire on any part of the sword.BUYER BEWARE. Austin Auction Gallery KNOWINGLY SELLS FAKES and LIES ABOUT IT...!!!Avoid this place like the plague. They listed a Civil War sword with leather and wire wrapped handle, and sold it as listed.I received the sword, and the handle is a one-piece brass-like material that is cheaply made. There is no wire or leather material anywhere on the sword. The sword is a fake.Ross, the alleged owner, stated that he must have made a mistake in the listing, but would only refund the purchase price after I returned the sword. I would not receive a refund for any shipping charges ($100 each way), and I purchased the item "as-is" despite the obvious fake sword and false item description. They will lie to you, take your money, and resell an obvious fake item. AVOID AUSTIN AUCTION GALLERY...!!!

I was referred to Austin Auction Gallery when one of my clients was looking to furnish her condo. The whole experience was exceptional. We were able to find most of the pieces to complete the space. It was a fun experience and the customer service was amazing! Thank y'all for putting up with my hundreds of questions! I'll definitely be back in the future.

I would give 10 stars if I had the option. These people are honest, quick to respond to concerns and I could not be more impressed with how this firm conducts business. Thank you for your outstanding customer service. I sincerely appreciate working with a place like this. Do not hesitate to bid with these folks.

Sadly I lost the auctions I had bid on via Texas-HiBid a vendor this company uses, as it was never mentioned that internet bidding closes at 8 am the day of the auction.Called and they suggested "next time" I call in to live bidding. How about "next time" you post this tidbit somewhere for all to read even through your vendor.(Basically, the live auction trumps the internet. so if you want something you better bid high online, otherwise its an unfair advantage for those using the internet)Maybe these folks should consider a software upgrade that allows real time bidding. Just a thought.

Rip off artists! What a complete SCAM do not waste your time or money "bidding" on their items. At the close of online bidding I had the high bid on six items. When I did not receive an invoice I emailed them the next day inquiring as to the invoice on my items and I was informed that lot #1015 the Martinsville Walnut Dresser went to another bidder on live auctioneers who had a higher bid - not sure how that was possible since I was also on live auction bidding. I sent a reply asking about the other lots 1013 Eames Elephant Hide Rocker, 1017 Italian MCM chairs, 1107 bookshelf, 1012 4 Italian MCM chairs and the painting - still waiting on a reply. In my opinion they use the auction sites to bid up the prices on items and then sell them to their preferred bidders - I am an attorney so if this was a local auction I would consider legal remedies - as it is I will just leave this here as a warning - spend your time elsewhere far away from this unrepeatable lot -

Austin Auction helped me beautifully with my dad's items after he passed.
