Awesome hotel. Tiny rooms. No benefits for Marriott members (not even Ambassadors) but nice if not expecting any perks.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough! We did not leave the hotel, and enjoyed the pool, restaurants and cocktail bar. Customer service was exceptional. We cannot wait for our next stay.
Food & drinks: The Peacock and Goldie’s are a must during your stay! Book reservations online.

I've only been for meals, so cannot comment on the rooms. Fabulous food, we loved the dips and tea selections. Great for a girls' brunch or late night dinner. One of our fave new spots!

My wife and I stayed for two nights at Austin property in a premium king bed suite (August 1-3). We were there for a quick anniversary getaway trip in the midst of a busy season of having little kids back home in Fort Worth. Without getting too much into the details, because I’m not a huge review guy, here are my thoughts.
We loved the downtown Austin location. There were tons of restaurants and stores all around us within walking distance (within a mile or less). Lady Bird Lake and the trail was within walkable distance, probably half a mile away at most. So the location was excellent. The ONLY Downside is the noise of a downtown city at night. There was some shouting From outside in the streets in cars, peeling out that could be heard from our bed.
The room was a little smaller than I thought it would be, but it was fantastic. The bed was excellent, and the shower was awesome. There was waters a mini fridge a TV with anything you wanna watch (I.e. Netflix, prime, live TV, etc.).
Served free coffee and breakfast muffins at the coffee shop and tea room downstairs each morning. The bar area downstairs was crazy busy and really popping each evening (we didn’t hang down there, but it looked like a fun social scene for those interested).
One night we ate at La Piscina. The chips and salsa I thought were excellent. The fajitas were to die for! Best fajitas I’ve ever eaten for sure.
We drove to Austin so we valet our car at the hotel overnight both nights. That costed $60 per night. We could come and go with our car as we pleased. However, if we didn’t walk somewhere, we took an Uber. The parking in downtown Austin is not fun. It’s hard to navigate, find parking, and generally parking costs most everywhere.
A notable mention in downtown Austin is Aba (Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten — The sticky date cake is a must have).
The fitness center at Austin proper is actually very extensive! For a gym rat myself, I was thoroughly impressed and was able to get a really great workout.
The pool was very nice as well. Not extremely large, but we had a great time lounging by the pool on a warm afternoon. And I’m not really a pool guy. But I really enjoyed my time at the Austin pool!
General manager Anis was a pleasure real to meet. He was extremely hospitable, As were all of the employees of the hotel.
Overall, we had a very great stay and would absolutely return to this hotel again in the future.
We recommend Austin Proper!
