Terrible experience. They don't return phone calls or emails. It takes me 3 calls to get any response. Initial quote estimate came in at an attractive price. Then when you want to order they double the price. This puts me in a extremely difficult position once the budge has been set using the initial quote. Classic bait and switch. Be very weary of their pricing if it seems too low because it will change when you want to buy.

ADD this update: We had such a positive experience with Austin Retrofit on the custom window last Summer that we decided to go ahead and relace a patio door with a wider one and sidelites. Again, quality work on our new handsome quality Western Window door: quality install by a quality couteous crew. They had to cut the stucco which I knew before even contacting them but we had stucco work coming up so we wanted tis done before the outdoor kitchen & with the other stucco work. Last Summer they did our replacement of an unusual size and installation of an over kitchen sink long wide window. They did a great job at measurement and install. If you want something done right and professionally, contact Austin Retrofit.

We're so happy with Austin Retrofit! We had a set of windows that we wanted to convert to a 3 panel sliding door and Austin Retrofit really came through. The door is beautiful, and so is the finish work. They came and did the install in one day, and the usual was perfect. I've recommended Austin Retrofit to others since then, and I will recommend them in the future!

Our new windows are wonderful! The rooms are noticeably quieter and more comfortable. The new windows operate correctly and look great both from the inside and outside. The installation team did an expert job and we've already been through several hard thunderstorms and a hail storm with no leaks.
In my opinion, the most difficult issue for a homeowner is finding a company to perform work on your house that is honest, affordable and trustworthy. Austin Retrofit is that company for windows and doors.
To begin, I contacted them based on a recommendation from Jeff Ludy who runs one of the top window companies in Houston and probably the best YouTube channel for all things window related. Nik came out and took initial measurements for estimation purposes and helped us choose window glass options and design elements. Here's where it gets good: there was no pressure at all to buy that day. In fact, it took almost 6 months to save up the money for the windows that I wanted replaced. Even though the estimate clearly stated it was good for 30 days, they didn't increase the price when I was ready to proceed.
Nik and Bryan came out and took the final measurements and confirmed all of the details. I signed a purchase contract and gave them a check for half of the total.
When the windows arrived, they scheduled an installation day and Javier and his team performed excellent work. They were friendly and explained everything while they were doing it since I'm always asking questions. They cleaned up afterward and you'd never know that they'd been there except for one thing: our house started the day with cheap builder windows and finished the day with beautiful superior new Anlin windows.
I can recommend Austin Retrofit without reservation and have included some pictures. The old white builder windows look dated and were a pain to operate. Fresh exterior paint and new black Anlin windows make the house look so much better. The dogs like the new windows too since they have a clearer view of many things to bark at!

I had Austin Retrofit replace my windows 10 or 11 years ago. Today, a part on one of the windows broke. I called them, and a couple hours later, there were three guys here fixing my window! I really appreciate the long-term service.

They came out to measure one full month ago. Since then, I have tried calling, to no avail, and nobody who will answer the phone. My last exasperated message a week ago asking them please to just tell me if they can't do the job. Nothing. Crickets.

Another window company highly suggested Austin Retrofit for the window repair job we needed. After scheduling a walkthrough to identify the problem (severe squeaking windows) and solution, their team came out promptly to repair. The pricing was in line with the task at hand. We used Austin Retrofit for an extensive remodel of more than 10 windows. The initial communications were great. After a few months the company went radio silent and stopped responding to calls and emails. Windows were eventually installed but small problems were never resolved.Service: Window installation

Great service, great quality windows and extremely professional install. We had to wait a long time for the windows due to supply lines disrupted by Covid but it was well worth the wait. Cody and Brandon are very genuine and know their stuff. The install team were super efficient, polite and went out of their way to ensure we were happy. Had our whole home installed in 2 days
