I recently financed a used auto loan with Austin Telco. Michael Olivares was the loan agent that I worked with and he made this experience so flawless and easy. Not only was the process easy but I have an amazing interest rate. I highly recommend Austin Telco and will definitely send all of my friends and family Michael's way.

Awesome staff here they alway ready to be helpful and get unserved this the best bank branch ever between all of them this is the best one ever. Even when bank was closed they opened the doors to serve me and my coworker I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BANK 100% the BEST EVER

I did a mobile deposit for a check. The check was from a large car dealership for selling my vehicle to them. I got an email saying the deposit was approved, then later it was on hold. I went to the bank to inquire, but alas the lobby was closed (I'll save you some time, the lobby is ALWAYS closed no matter what the posted hours are) so I went to the drive through to ask. I wasn't even sure if anyone was there as it looked empty. It as 4 Pm Finally a person appeared and I asked why there was a hold on this check and she said "the branch manager rejected the deposit and put a hold" and I asked why? She said that my lack of account history (I've been with them over a year) and never having that much money in my account (i don't use this account often) and it was suspicious that I deposited that much money and I shouldn't have access to it right away. She said they put a longer hold on it because I just never have that much money in my account and it's suspiscious. So yeah, don't deposit checks becuase they will judge you and think you don't deserve access to the money, but I suspect they just want to earn interest on MY money sitting there. Other issues--direct deposits show up at 8:00 am on pay day when it shows up the night before at my other bank. The lobby is always closed no matter what the posted hours are. The tellers I've had the pleasure of dealing with are rude. Their app is utter garbage. Just go bank somewhere else.

I am thinking of withdrawing my money and be banking and taking my business somewhere else. Been banking and doing business with ATFCU for a while now. Had my car loan with them, paid it off, and plan to apply for a another loan. I was happy doing business with them. After paying my car loan last year, I did not receive my car title. I called to follow up with them if I need to pick it up or what. They told me they mailed it to me last December. I did not receive any title on the mail. I verified with them my mailing address which is correct. I have been getting mails from them in the past , insurance offers, etc... but none with my title. They told me it got lost in the mail. They said they will send me a release of lien, and I have to apply for a copy of the title personally, at my expense and time in which they failed to have in my posession. I do not agree with this as they are responsible for providing me my title as I have paid it off and fulfilled my obligation. This is so unprofessional and irresponsible of them on how they treat situations like this. All I ask is simple. Just give me my title and not any run around. I am easy to talk to.

Got an auto loan from them for a 2019 Hyundai Sonata and my current USAA insurance automatically extends coverage up to 30 days as i have multiple cars with USAA. I added coverage on 35th day i.e. lapse of 5 days. This was totally unintentional. Nevertheless ATFCU said they don't accept automatic coverage (no where on their loan agreement) and charged me 680 + interest for lapse of coverage. For the sake of argument, even if we denied automatic coverage and took lapse of 35 days; where in the world would someone pay 680 premium for just over a month. That's like annual premium for the family sedan. These guys are thieves.

I recently started banking with TelCo and I have to say that they are so much more customer centric than my other credit union.. they will work with you and never a frustrating visit like UHCU! Wups!

Their technology is outdated, their tellers are not friendly, and their branch managers are not helpful. And when you contact their main office for help they are just as worthless as their branch employees. The worst part is Telco's inability to handle a business account. After experiencing problem after problem and having this institution costing me valuable time and money I've finally decided to call it quits. It's going to be a hassle moving everything to another institution but it will be worth it. Yes, Austin Telco is that bad.

So disappointed in this bank. I was shopping for equity mortgage rates and they had one of the lowest and bonus no fees if under $100k. I sent an email requesting info because my home is in Milam TX (hour from Austin). I emailed back and forth with them getting & giving info to receive rate & terms. I was told to fill out 18 page application and bring it & check list documents to branch. I did that & was told that the bank did not service Milam county. I was upset, after all the work done, when I had said that in 1st email. I left disappointed. Two days later, I received a call from the bank saying that they can make exceptions for people that work in Austin. I thought that sounded too good to be true, but after filling out an 18 page application and getting all the documents I didn't want to start over. I took off of work to go in again. I had to open a savings account (requirement to submit application) and authorize a credit report. The next day I received a doc you sign email with all the loan information and payment to sign. The following day I received a call saying I'm sorry but the bank doesn't service Milam County! My credit was run which actually dropped my excellent credit down 12 points! Plus I have a couple hundred dollars in a savings account that I don't need but of course I'm not going to close it and take another hit on my credit! i'm absolutely disgusted at this scheme that seems a lot like the Wells Fargo bank account scheme where they basically tricked me to come in and open an account when there was no possibility of me getting a loan and how dare they run my credit. Stay away from this bank!!!!
