This one location right off hwy downtown Austin. The lack more customer service skills then anything that itself turned me right out the door the last thing I need is to be treated negative for asking a question

Extremely poor customer service at this location. The employees lacked basic problem-solving skills and showed little interest in actually helping.
I had to call customer support and cancel my order just to get a refund, all because the staff couldn’t figure out how to accept a valid temporary driver's license/permit—even after support confirmed it should be accepted. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.

They’re so rude!!! You ask a question and they answer with such disgust like you dare need a car to rent. Practically kicked us out of the office without any help. If you want to be treated like garbage this is the place to go.

I recently rented a car from Avis during my trip to Austin Texas, and I regret to say my experience was far from satisfactory. While the reservation process was straightforward, the overall quality of service and vehicle condition left much to be desired.
When I arrived at the rental location, the customer service representative was friendly and helpful, making the check-in process quick and efficient. However, my satisfaction quickly turned into disappointment when I inspected the car. The vehicle was filthy, with food remnants in the trunk and glove box. It was evident that the car had not been cleaned thoroughly.
Despite my initial reservations, I proceeded with the rental, only to encounter more issues. After driving for about an hour, a warning light indicating the need for an oil change came on. This was concerning, especially since the rental location had already closed for the day. I called the 1-800 number provided by Avis, and they instructed me to drive the car to the local airport to swap it out. This was an inconvenience, as I had to drive 20 minutes with the warning light on, worrying about the vehicle’s condition.
To make matters worse, I noticed a sticker on the window indicating that the car was 20,000 miles past its scheduled service. This oversight was unacceptable and showed a lack of attention to vehicle maintenance and customer safety.
Overall, my experience with Avis was disappointing. While the staff were friendly, the poor condition of the car and the subsequent inconvenience of having to swap it out at the airport significantly impacted my trip. I hope Avis improves their vehicle maintenance and cleaning standards to provide a better experience for future customers. Based on this experience, I would hesitate to rent from Avis again.

The attitudes the 2 ladies at the front desk makes you want to jump across the desk but I suspect that’s why there is a sign at the front desk offering discount if you leave positive google review

Best rental car facility in the country! I've rented cars all over, and through multiple companies and programs such as Uber, and I've had only best and most pleasant experiences with this location! Shannon, Kamila, and Alex were so pleasant and helpful with any questions or issues I've had and, it's so refreshing to find quality service. I mean, they're always super busy and still deliver excellent service. I applaud this location for their service and they should be training all employees across the country on how to deliver excellent service because renting a car is usually a big deal but this location makes it so seamless and makes me like Avis more than ever before. I've become loyal to Avis but this location in particular because of my experience. This Avis location is my first recommended choice in renting a vehicle anywhere!
