So I got a car, but, they gave me the wrong car. And this was after they couldn't run my credit card, refused to use a smartcard, and tacked it onto my flight payment info (which, guess what, was the credit card). A meh experience all around.

I was in the need for a large SUV with roof racks for a Thule box. Both Reese and Shae in the Austin Airport location were amazing! They helped me find a vehicle that fit my needs. They were both incredibly customer focused, extremely helpful and super polite and friendly and went out of their way to help me! I can't say enough about them and how much of a positive impact they had on my whole rental experience. Thank you again Reese and Shae!!!

Rented a vehicle only to discover part way through my trip that the front tires had ZERO tread. Completely illegal and unsafe.The vehicle had 55k miles and the tires had apparently never been inspected or rotated.After significant back and forth with Avis customer service I was offered $27 as compensation. ?

Never ever rent an EV from AVIS. $1 of charge will cost you $20. Its abusive for a rental.

Was given a dirty, stained car with cigarette burns in the seat and a flat tire. Didn't even complain and spent $5 on air filling up the tire and returned the vehicle IN BETTER CONDITION than when we got it. Got hit with a $125 excessive cleaning fee a couple weeks later. Complete scam. Take pictures before you even leave the lot.

Awful experience. Service is awful. I would not recommend anyone use Avis. They suck!!! Only use if you like renting old, high mileage, dirty and damaged vehicles!!!!

Beware of AVIS at Austin-Bergstrom. I'd reserved a standard sedan but none was available. Instead was offered a choice of a Pacifica van (for an extra $20 a day), a choice of Dodge Ram king cab trucks, or a Tesla. I finally wound up with a Mazda SUV, which turned out not to be in road-ready safe driving condition. A mile away from the airport the check tire pressure indictor came on. When I checked, three tires were substantially over-inflated and one substantially under-inflated. AVIS maintenance staff should check these kinds of things as a routine matter. There's no excuse for not doing so.

For starters Avis swiped my card twice for the same reservation. $302.15 each. I notified the agent at the desk and they were no help even showed them on my bank app both transactions and they denied there wasn’t a second authorization hold. Then to get me out told me oh it’ll fall off when you return the car. I returned the car on March 3rd and the second transaction still remains. It takes for you to charge me twice but now I got to wait 10 days to get my money back that the company took.

The staff were absolutely amazing. But I reserved a certain car. When I arrived they only had a ford ranger, ram pickup and a minivan. They also had an electric car but no known chargers spots as it was Tesla. And I do not own an adapter.. the selection was horrible. But at least the staff were super helpful. I loved there willingness to assist me

Rented a car for our stay in Austin. Ended up getting a Ford Edge. Very impressed with the vehicle and the staff. Very friendly.
