First of all, this is the first review I have ever written. I typically don’t bother leaving reviews, even when I experience bad service at restaurants or cold food. I’ve even had poor experiences with doctors and brushed it off because everyone has bad days. However, what I will not tolerate is someone being prejudiced toward me and then trying to turn the situation around by accusing me of being racist.
Though it shouldn't matter, I was dressed professionally and did not appear suspicious, yet I was treated as if I were a vagrant. When I handed my commission check—issued by Truist Bank—to the teller, he took it as if I had handed him a dirty tissue, repeatedly examining it with a perplexed expression. I asked if everything was alright, and he simply said they needed my ID, which I provided without hesitation.
However, the way both the teller and his manager behaved was unsettling. The manager immediately raised his voice, saying, “Ma’am, we need to see ID.” I calmly responded that providing ID wasn’t the issue—the issue was the way they were treating me, making me feel as though I were trying to commit fraud.
Instead of addressing my concerns, the manager continued raising his voice in an almost performative manner, insisting it was just protocol. Again, I explained that showing ID was not the problem—the blatant disrespect was. I even mentioned that, as a Latina, people sometimes misinterpret my neutral facial expression as stern, but their reactions went beyond that. It felt as though the teller was mocking me, like a child making faces behind a parent’s back. Their dynamic also felt unprofessional, as if I was dealing with an insecure bully and his enabler.
Then, in an attempt to shift blame, the manager loudly accused me of being racist. At that point, I asked for my check back and was told to leave. The teller continued making faces at me, treating me as if I were beneath them. It was clear this wasn’t just my imagination—it was an attempt to gaslight me.
I later went to the Rollingwood location, where the staff was professional and kind. They mentioned that the other location frequently deals with fraudulent checks, though they were not excusing their behavior. It made me wonder how many of those so-called fake checks were actually legitimate but met with the same mistreatment.
Additionally, it’s worth noting that the manager at the first location was completely unkempt, with three large food stains on his shirt—hardly the level of professionalism one would expect from someone in his position.

Every interaction (4+) I’ve had at this location has been dissatisfactory. Tellers are frequently unable to answer basic questions about their service offerings, struggle to follow customer
requests, and on multiple occasions, tellers have nearly completed a transaction in another customer’s account because they weren’t paying close enough attention. Leadership and training clearly lacking. If you’re already a member, visit the Bee Cave location instead. If you’re not, choose another option altogether.

The tellers speak Spanish to each other during a transaction, highly highly unprofessional. Do business elsewhere.

Avoid this bank at all cost. Dealing with them was the most frustrating process that ended up with us getting significantly less money solely because of their overwhelming ineptitude. Never again.

I can go get a haircut, I can go have a meal at a restaurant,I can go to a ballpark, But for some reason they're afraid to open their doors at this Bank. I don't even think that that's federally legal.

Not that I would bank here to begin with but they have a towing company tow cars after they close, that park in their reserved spots for some pathetic reason. ..which only reinforces why I wouldn't bank with this company. I just watched a sweet old lady with a cane have to take a taxi to find her car at a tow yard for parking in front of this bank when they weren't even open. Sleep well bb&t management.
