Big Top Candy Shop is a fantastic candy store and a South Congress staple. The shop is decked out in antique circus memorabilia and boasts a fully-functioning old-fashioned soda fountain and ice cream case. It features a great soda bar with weird sodas in crazy flavors, including butter, pickle, and bacon. There is a wide variety of everything, from over 400 bulk candies and 3000 wrapped candies to specialty chocolates, fudge, truffles, and fresh popped popcorn. They have many options, including nostalgic favorites, new creations, and even some sugar-free items. The store is very clean and often busy. The staff and owners are super helpful, nice, friendly, and in good spirits. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended to stop in and satisfy any sweet tooth.
Just love this shop - very extensive collection of different candy and treats. My favorite is the ridiculous number of flavors for salt water taffy! Their in house chocolate treat are great too.

I love this place. Only place you can find liquid filled chocolate cordial! A great selection of salt water taffy flavors as well. Always visit when in Austin!
