Came to boost at 12:10 and the door was locked. There was a sign on the door that said, I went to get change. 12:25 The lady came back , she locked the door behind her and stayed in the store for 10 more minutes. She came back out and locked the door again at 12:42 I asked her what time will she open the store,she told me in 30 more minutes. Wow.. I left. Came back at 1:10 she finally opened the door.

I came into the store with 2 boostmobile iPhones that had been migrated over from VirginMobile. They needed to have their SIM cards upgraded to ones that were compatible with the boostmobile expanded network. Elvira, the store manager, was extremely helpful. She knew exactly what to do and in a matter of minutes had both phones upgraded and at no cost to me. Thanks so much for the great customer service.

Very bad customer service experience. The lady at the counter told us unequivocally that we would have 7 days during which we could return the phones for any reason if we were not happy with the service. As it turns out the phones we were given do not even activate on the Boost network, we do not have any phone service to them, because they are - apparently - GSM phones from a different carrier, with a non-Boost model number (Boost is CDMA). I called the owner to request an exchange for working phones, and she became angry and refused the exchange or a refund, saying there's nothing wrong with the phones. These are phones that do not even activate on their own service, or receive phone calls or messages, but no - not defective. They would be fine at Tmobile. So, unfortunately, will I.

This review is more about the manager than the business itself. Boost is a pre-paid phone service provider that also sells phones. Buying a cell phone is about as much fun as a root canal, but Lupe (her "official name" is Tejada) goes out of her way to help out the customer. I was there to buy an iPhone on a promotion, and had all my info ready. However, there was a "glitch" in porting the number and Lupe did some creative "persuasion" to get them to push it through. While I waited to get the number transferred, another customer came in, but did not bring his required account number, pin number, etc. Lupe did an amazing job of getting this info from his previous carrier (again, using some "creative" skills!) and helped him get the promo code for a better deal than he originally came in the store to get (actually, the deal I was getting). Not many store personnel would be so thoughtful as to give the customer a better deal. To be honest, the decor and "waiting room" stools left much to be desired, but when I mentioned the hard metal stools, Lupe went into the office to get me a nice padded folding chair. THAT is my idea of real customer service!!!
