When I first moved in about two months ago, things were rough. The manager at the time couldn't be bothered to do basic tasks such as touring prospective tenants or having the office open and available to speak. I have spent YEARS in property management and I could tell the job was wearing her down. I was truly shocked to see how unprofessional management was.
HOWEVER, the new property manager, Janay, has been amazing. She genuinely cares about the people who live here, and is managing the entire property gracefully on her own. Although she is still busy, she communicates well. She has kept tenants in the loop as to why it may be taking a day or two to hear a response on items, and has kept us updated on progress being made with certain frustrations some residents have had. Janay has my vote.
I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to the maintenance team. With the frustrations with past management, I expected maintenance to take their sweet time getting orders completed. I've been pleasantly surprised with one of the best, fastest maintenance teams I've come across, whether it be as a tenant or as an employee.
The only reason I give 4 stars is for low amount of parking spaces (we're close to downtown, it happens) and the fact that the elevator seems to be down a lot. Other than that, I'm fairly happy here and the price is unbeatable.

I have never left a review on anything but feel like I need to warn people about this place before signing a lease, I wish I would have read the reviews first. I have lived here for 1 1/2 years and to say this place has never been good is an understatement. 1) They do not have enough parking for all their residents so in order to not get towed you have to park across the street at the HEB. 2) Elevator is consistently broken, at least once a week. Hallways and elevator (when it is working) are never clean. You hear every car, truck, automobile from inside because doors and windows aren’t sealed correctly. They also Airbnb their empty apts so safety is a concern. They never answer their phone here or at RMP main hub. No one is ever in office or “they are on a tour” that takes all day apparently. You won’t get an email or call back so don’t waste your time. I have had a cockroach issue since the summer and they have done nothing to help me. I have them in my dishwasher, fridge, walls, floors. I just went in to ask what they can do and the “manager” was too busy telling me my tone was bad then helping me with my issue. My tone was bad because my place is infested with bugs and stays infested. She finally said she could get someone out here in 2 days. So my dog and I will be living with this infestation longer and that is if they get someone out here. Management has always been bad. Last Thursday the elevator was broke again and she was sitting at her desk with door locked saying she was in a “teams meeting” I am sure her boss wouldn’t’ of minded her stepping away to fix the elevator situation. As I was leaving I said I can’t be the only one dealing with this and her response and her “tone” was “you are.” Tried calling RMP Living and they are just as bad do not respond or call people back. I have recently filed a complaint with the Austin code office so hopefully we get some help soon!

This is absolutely ridiculous and completely unacceptable. The fact that residents are paying rent to live with roaches, broken elevators, and zero management accountability is insane. How does a property like this even stay open? The management here clearly doesn’t care about tenants’ safety, health, or basic quality of life. Ignoring calls, locking the office door, and blaming residents for being frustrated instead of fixing real problems is beyond unprofessional. RMP Living and Brixton management need to be investigated immediately — no one should have to deal with this kind of neglect and disrespect. Hopefully the Austin Code Office steps in soon, because it’s obvious management won’t take action unless they’re forced to.

Do not move into these apartments unless you ask about parking. They force you to pay an additional $150 for a parking space. There are no other parking options but to register your vehicle NIGHTLY to avoid being towed! Registration s/b a one time deal not daily!!

Zero stars if I could. Impossible to get a hold of the office, weeks go by without responses to emails. They don't have enough parking for residents who pay to live here, but let guests park for free in the same parking spots. You will get towed if you park in the fire lane, but people still do it cause there is no where else to park

I recently moved to these beautiful apartments 2 weeks ago, Janae the apartment manager and Christian leading maintenance have been absolutely amazing in all aspects. One of the easiest most efficient move ins I have had, and I travel a lot for my job. These apartments are clean with all new appliances, a very safe and controlled environment, and any questions I have had have been answered and taken care of the same day. I moved in without even taking a tour that’s how confident the staff made me feel about the environment. I hope who ever owns these apartments pays the staff very well because I would not want to lose them! Thanks for everything and I look forward to my future here.

Do not move here at all save yourself the trouble. Leasing office is rude and never answers the phone, and leaves early on the days they should be working. Gym isn’t the best. They have no pool. They don’t have enough parking spots for the number of apartments they have here

Been living here for 6 months. The area is great with a good view. Sometimes the elevator doesn’t work but the management is sweet and always gets the maintenance request resolved. The people I’ve met here are also very sweet and fun. I would continue living here :) ♥️

I would not recommend living here. I have been renting here for about 7 months. For the past month and a half my A/C has been broken 3 times. Still waiting for it to get fixed properly. The apartments are very pricey and yes there is no pool here. Parking situation here is the worst. I am forced to pay $125 a month for a spot in the garage because there is not enough free parking for all the residents. It constantly smells like pot in the hallways and garbage is everywhere. The elevator is constantly broken. If you live on the 5 floor, you are screwed. There are plenty of nicer apartments in the area for the same amount of money. Dont move here. I cant wait till my lease is up. My stay here has been nothing but nightmare.

The leasing office attendants are super rude. I’m a locator and refuse to bring clients to this complex.

I’m moving to Austin soon and toured the Brixton and new to the area. I had a great tour with Karley, the new manager today. She was very welcoming and made Brixton feel like home. I can’t wait to move in! Awesome location and so much to do here.

Karley was a huge help in finding my new home here at The Brixton. From start to finish she was supper helpful even with the many questions both my parents and I had. All the amenities were in great condition, I absolutely love the gym. I couldn’t be more excited to move into my new home!
