Good storage units at a solid price, easy to drive up to and access. Love the iconic old Austin feel and the history, and the employees are always so helpful and kind. You wouldn’t think a storage unit business could have local charm, but Burnet Road self storage sure does.
I will always go here over an air condition, unmanned, multi story storage complex!

This business will never stop charging your card even after being put on notice repeatedly that they are mischarging you. They will swear that they have your credit card information deleted and that’s a lie. They are a shady and fraudulent operation. Take your money elsewhere or be prepared to hire an attorney and/or go to small claims court.

They will not stop charging my card months after I went in person to cancel my account. They literally don't know how to stop payments after you move out. They ensured me my credit card had been taken out of their systems, and the hand written CC number was shredded. I have spent hours over several phone calls and meeting in person with Lisa and Kathy begging them to stop charging my card. They cannot function on the simplest of levels. Before I cancelled my units, they cut the locks and left the contents of my unit open. Take your money and go elsewhere.

The only good thing you can say about Burnet storage is that it is conveniently located. I have stored my boat here for the last 3 plus years. I had stuff taken off the boat, leaning post, yeti 120 qt cooler (cabled and locked), trolling motor (locked) and seats. I understand Burnet storage is not responsible for theft but today I picked up my boat and found the hitch bent, jack broken off, and wiring harness cut to pieces like it was mowed. Unfortunately the small boat next to mine had the same fate. Even if the prices for a spot were reasonable the cost for theft and damages is not. I do know they did increase security and the thefts were prior to the new gate...

I had my inside unit broken into, and the management was very unhelpful. They accused me of having a person targeting me specifically - they asked "do you have any enemies?" Um, no, and if so, none that know where my storage unit in the facility is EXACTLY! They refused to provide camera footage claiming their cameras don't record, they are only for surveillance. They also couldn't refund me any rent for that month, even though I, of course, moved our immediately. Beware what you're getting into, especially if you value what you're storing.

This place is truly awful. They will break your locks, they are not responsive, they have no customer service and raise rates continuously and randomly. Everything we had in storage was covered in mice and rat droppings and had been chewed up by what seemed to be dozens of rodents which evidently are the real property managers.

What a great group of people who run this business. Outstanding customer service, clean and well lit area, units are well kept and in prime shape. AND they have military discount for active duty service members. Great nostalgia from the old drive in days. Highly recommend these guys!
