Butler Pitch & Putt is a beloved nine-hole golf course located in downtown Austin, offering a unique experience with views of Lady Bird Lake. Established over 70 years ago, this park spans 7 acres and is integrated with the Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail. While the course has a cool atmosphere and affordable pricing for rentals, visitors often face long wait times, especially on weekends, with some reporting waits of up to two hours. Groups can range from 2 to 6 people, and the slow pace of play can be frustrating, with players waiting for multiple groups at each hole. Despite the inefficiencies and sometimes dismissive customer service, many guests enjoy the overall experience. The food truck, particularly known for its fries, is a highlight, and the friendly beer cart service adds to the fun. However, parking can be a challenge, so visiting during off-peak hours is recommended. For those seeking a casual outing, Butler Pitch & Putt remains a spot worth trying, especially on weekdays when the pace may be more manageable.
Very crowded on a Friday. Bring a group of 4+.. golfing with just my wife was too quick and we ended up waiting for a while between holes. I guess we could have paired up with people… oh well

Been coming here for years, but this place is almost inaccessible now for casual play. Expect a long wait to tee off, and slow pace behind groups of 6-8 people, assuming the place isn’t closed for yet another “private event”. The days of rolling up to Butler and playing a quick 9 are long over.
