THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!!
There are some communication problems between the front desk who check us in and the person who at the front desk the next day. We told the front desk that we wanted to have late check out. The person said yes and he put a note on the system. However, the housekeeper just went in to the room next day and clean everything without our permission. We haven’t checked out!!! We just went out for work. We talked to the manager and he gave us a VERY RUDE attitude. He said he “assumed” we checked out. That’s really ridiculous. Assume??? We were upset and felt very bad for this hotel.
I am a platinum member but did not get the respect. I won’t come back anymore and will avoid to stay at all the IHG hotel…

Clean rooms, decent pricing, very understanding front desk. I want to sincerely thank KELLY for going above and beyond to help with an urgent matter regarding my mother. She arrived scared and in very low spirits, he was totally understanding and made sure she was safe and okay. This was all at the tail end of his shift which makes it that much more remarkable. Happy to use this hotel anytime I am in Austin and recommend to others. You do not have many like him working the night shift!
PS. I worked in hospitality for years, it is not an easy industry, so 5 STARS to Kelly!
Rooms: Clean, remodeled rooms.

This IHG property has taken services and has started charging for them. How about early check in - $50; maid service, super high pet fees, zero continental breakfast. The playbook by the front desk was very apparent. They did provide cups of coffee. Get it while you can because that's next on their list. They are going to maximize their profits.
Food and drinks: They had both with expensive prices

Martha, at the reception, was very helpful with some problems we had with the reservation. All the cleaning staff are super friendly, we stayed there for 1 and a half months and every time they saw us they asked us if we were okay or if they offered us something like paper, soap, etc. The coffee is very delicious. The rooms are comfortable and very clean.

Sent here with a hotel voucher after a flight cancellation. The hotel is a little bare bones and must have had a leak or something because it smelled a little off and they had dehumidifiers in the hallways. The room and bed were very comfortable, well stocked, and I slept well. The only problem is while waiting for the hotel shuttle in the lobby, it rolled up, saw no one waiting outside, so just kept rolling on. I had to Uber to the airport because they said it would be another 20 minutes and I had already waited 15.

I had the WORST experience with KELLY in the Front Desk here I didn't even get the chance to even check into our room! Our apartment is having plumming issues so they located me and my family of three children at this hotel on 5/13/24! We were not even in the lobby more than 10 mins waiting to get checked in my 3 YEAR OLD AUTISTIC SON is running around a bit being loud for a 3yr old (nothing out of the norm like climbing on furniture or anything like that) and when it comes to my turn KELLY looks at my son and tells me "Is he going to be a problem? Bc this is quiet hotel with alot of workers!" Mind you were were in there less than 10 mins! I 100% understand if we were in our room and my son is being loud etc. But to not even give us the chance or find different wording! That is unacceptable! OBVIOUSLY KELLY HAS NEVER BEEN AROUND CHILDREN ESPECIALLY CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS! Kelly your a disgrace to this company!!!!!! Shame on you! Also NATE the manager didn't even apologize only said "would you like to stay at our sister hotel" HELL NO I WOULD NOT IF THAT STAFF IS ANYTHING LIKE KELLY!

There are several aspects of our stay at this hotel that play into this review.1) The location right on a busy freeway wouldn’t be problematic for some hotels … ones that have been built with excellent sound insulation. However, I could not sleep the 2 nights we were there because of loud road noise all night (and day, but at night it’s a big problem). It is just terrible. You hear every single motorcycle, truck and car on that freeway. I got MAYBE 3 hours total of sleep each night and that was only after taking some melatonin. I was awakened by the loud road noise continually. This is what will keep me from ever staying at this hotel again. And I mean EVER.2) The room was a one room “suite” with king bed (very comfy), typical Candlewood kitchenette, typical bathroom, integrated table (with one dining style chair and one rolling desk chair), chest of drawers and shelves. The ONE piece furniture I consider essential for a stay in any kind of “suite” room is a lounge chair of some kind to collapse in at the end of a long day. Your only options for watching tv are to prop yourself up on the bed (not comfortable for very long) or sit very upright on one of the two chairs. No footrest. No way to recline back a little. To me, this, coupled with the road noise, is a deal breaker. And my spouse has a medical need for a footrest. So, there is one more reason we will never stay at this hotel again. The comfort of the bed was basically lost on me because of the awful road noise.3) “Service” is hard to rate, because I only ever saw one employee at the hotel and that was a desk clerk. (There’s only one per shift.) Basically, you’re on your own. (Not a problem for me, usually.)Bottom line: If constant noise from sirens, semi-trucks, cars, motorcycles, etc. doesn’t bother you, you will be ok. The bed is very comfy. But the road noise is SERIOUS. Be warned.Food & drinks: Coffee is subpar. Better bring your own. Also, only that powder “creamer” is available, so bring your own cream. Their powder stuff is pretty bad. Also, the food available in their “market” is crazy expensive. I paid $12 for a little $3.98 Lean Cuisine frozen meal. Be sure to stop by a grocery store before you check in.

The stay wasn't bad until they kept the incidental fee of 50.00. They accuse me of taking a thermal blanket that was never in the room. Their was no iron either until I called the front desk. Spoke to the manager and stated the charge will stand. Will be talking to the General manager . Will not stay in another Candlewood suite.
