I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and was promptly greeted by a Car Max employee. He asked what we were looking for and told us where we could find that type of vehicle to peruse ourselves. We hadn't pre-registered, so I had to join a waiting list to be assisted. After walking the aisles myself to see that 40% of the vehicles I was looking at were had red stickers on them that said "this vehicle is not for sale" and realized that the vehicles they did have are overpriced, I was done and left. As I walked though the lobby to leave, I noticed at least 4 or 5 employees playing on their phones or just sitting around doing absolutely nothing. Nobody said a word to me as I left their location. Clearly nobody was that interested in making a sale today, or at least a cash sale with me.

We have bought 2 cars from them at this location in the last month. One of them was 2017 Ford Edge and the other a 2019 Honda Pilot, both with under 50,000 miles. There was no reason for them to break down, however each of them did within 2 weeks. The Honda Pilot completely died in the middle of an intersection 1.5 HOURS after we drove it off the lot. It's been 3 days and they have not been able to tell us what the problem is. They also promised to reimburse us for the $350 it cost to tow the car after we sat there for 3.5 hours. Now they are telling us the only receipt we were given is not eligible for a reimbursement. Beyond frustrated and completely stunned at the poor customer service and the nerve of them to sell us 2 faulty cars and then do nothing to try to make it right. Will not be buying anymore cars here or recommending anyone else does. This is not what I expected from Carmax. Do better.

My boyfriend is looking for a new car after totaling his old one. We scheduled a test drive at this location and we were seen within minutes. Our sales rep (Alex Peña) was outstanding. He was not pushy towards us at all, he took the time to understand our situation and gave us multiple options on financing. He also took the time to understand that we may need a few days to make a decision and hold onto the car for us. He was very personable and took care of us well. Will try to update once we receive the car!

I bought a Honda CRV 2019 from them around 5/10/23 I had to take it back bc the airbag light & the brake sensor light was on. They had the car from 5/18-6/15 telling me that they had to order a new seat. I received calls daily with updates. At one point I was told you can come pick it up its ready, the light is still on but we have to wait for our electrician to come and calibrate it, but he won't be in until the following Tues. I refused. A couple of days later I received another call saying the car was ready. When I asked about if the electrician fixed it I was told again "its safe to drive" I declined to pick it up again. When I got the car back 1 week later I had to take it back bc of the same thing! They had it for another week and the light came on again after getting it back. At this point I said I'm taking it to the Honda dealer to get fixed properly. I can't even make this long story short, but I'm going to cut the corner. Honda now has it to address all the things Carmax didn't. Why did Honda say the seat was NEVER replaced and that it is not a new seat! They also told me driving with that airbag light on is considered a emergency and they do not recommend driving. When I told this to the service manager, he just looked at me, no words. This location SUCKS!!! There needs to be a negative rating bc a 1star is still too good for them!

I had a good experience buying a car at CarMax. There is no "hard sell" and the buying process is as easy as it gets for the industry. They allow you to test the car for 24 hours to see if you like the car. I recommend CarMax because of the ease of the purchasing process. I wish all car dealerships were this straight forward.

So my daughter is buying a car. She asked for them to it gap insurance on the vehicle. Did this happen NO. So she had to resale the same vehicle. This started at 11:00am. It is now 2:00 pm. She has a three month old and me, I can lift anything over three pounds due to a port removed. Have dogs at home that need to pee. A baby that needs a bottle and I haven't eaten. Nor have they afford me anything to drink. So moral to story if you buying from them. Bring something to drink, bring food and have someone watch and take your animals outside. If have baby bring there food as well. Only one person working in tiles. Crazy. It's a all day deal.

Quick summary - Our sales rep JD Salinas was wonderful and we are grateful for him but overall this was a terrible experience with a service team that at best was negligent and a management team that seems completely disinterested is fixing a very big mistake in the vehicle listing.I paid to have a Volvo XC90 transferred in on 6/1. I was told the vehicle would be ready by 6/8 and would be contacted that morning to set up a time to view the vehicle. I had to call multiple times before it was determined it would not be ready. We were trading in our old vehicle so I had to take it in twice to be appraised because the other vehicle had taken so long to get ready.When the other vehicle was finally ready to view and test drive on 6/17 we discovered it was falsely advertised as having heated seats(it did not) and remote start(it did not). The management team was unwilling to adjust the prices for the lack of these two features which were very important in our decision to transfer this vehicle in.We purchased the car 6/20 and the following morning I discovered a piece of wood covered in paint and a touch up brush stuck to the roof of the car which was infuriating to say the least and needed addressing immediately to avoid ruining the paint. I emailed the Carmax Care team to hopefully get some resolution for these issues and the only response I got from them was to schedule a time to have the car detailed. No offer of refunding the transfer fee or any possibility of adjusting the purchase price.

Read the other reivews! Absolute a****** of a rep,started off yelling while I was 3 feet infront of him. pretended to call me 3 times I showed him my phone logs nothing on it, made me wait 3 hours for an appraisal. Tried to call me to say I was wrong, it called a completely different number( a person sitting in a chair), he apologized to the elder man he was accidentally calling thinking it was my phone number, blamed/gaslit me saying I definitely called you. What a joke. And the offer was low but said they could not match price with Edmunds , Wouldn't even look at it! My main issue was with the service than the price. Some Car max dealerships will match with Edmunds because Carmax owns Edmunds. DON'T GO TO CAR MAX, quote around anywhere else. NEVER going to car max again. Never forget.

Sold two cars here recently and both were smooth transactions. Took less than 2 hours each time and was impressed by the integrity of the folks I worked with and the speed of getting things done. Could I have sold the cars for more private party? Absolutely. Do I want to deal with all that for the relatively small delta? Nope!Highly recommended if you're ok with the trade off and / or pushed for time.

A 20-minute test drive is not long enough to adequately test a car to buy. And then if you want more time, you need a declaration page from insurance and to sign your life away. They proposed I buy the car and return it within 30 days if I don't like it. Schlocky sales people, waste of time, terrible customer experience.

Car sellers beware!I was referred here by a friend who is in the business. I could tell by the scripted enthusiasm that they were completely serious about the offer they gave me for my car. I might be on an emotional high as well if I was buying cars for 55 cents on the dollar. Obviously I did not stick around for any further nonsense after their "completely serious" offer was presented.

Worst service ever! We had an appointment for 4pm on a Saturday. We got to the establishment on time and followed due procedures. After 2h we were called. They showed us the evaluation. It took them another 40 min to tell us that our DMV had the car financed through Hyundai and they do not do business with them. I lost almost 3h of my weekend to accomplish nothing and I'm pretty sure they could have given me the same news in a1/3 of the time.Don't go there! Find somewhere else that will treat you right.
