I got my LTC through Central Texas Gun Works. The course has two components: 1) Classroom portion 2) Shooting portion. The classroom portion is largely learning about state statute and laws. What many may find to be boring (reading state statute), Michael and the other instructors present the info clearly and in an entertaining and engaging way. Michael is an excellent communicator and breaks up the classroom portion with video clips, "What would you do in this situation?" questions, and encourages you to ask questions. The shooting portion is done off site and they provide transportation to and from the store. The shooting portion prioritizes safety. Everyone in my class passed both the written and shooting tests, including people who have limited/no shooting experience. If you are looking to get your LTC, CTGW is the place.

I came in contact with 3. Two were awesome they had their Bang this morning. The last one didn’t take his CBD this morning he was a little grumpy. It’s going to be okay.

Great experience here! It’s intimidating to be a female alone at these types of things. More women should get out there and do this. Michael knows his stuff and is a women’s advocate. It was so helpful to work through different scenarios with someone that knows the law and how different court situations have worked out. We discussed citizens helping out in emergency situations. He approved of someone calling 911 and another person recording to help with identification and evidence of the person committing crime (that’s going in my 3rd book :). The shooting experience was amazing. Very peaceful and felt like I was at a military academy.

Making an appointment at IdentoGO in CTGW's is a joke.
I made an appt on Friday and when I got there (10min) early there were at least 25 people waiting and 1 extraordinary slow person handling customers... about 15 minutes/person. Typical excuse... "technical issues"... I would been lucky if I spent less than 3 hours waiting... even the DMV is better than that!
Are all the IdentoGO locations as bad as the one at CTxGW?

Dont even bother getting a reservation for fingerprinting services. It doesnt matter. It’s like the Seinfeld episode where Jerry rents a car. When they do call you it goes fast though.

I attended and obtained my conceal carry permit with Texas gun works. Great team, very professional, not only knowledgeable, but front line advocates with victories for Gun rights. The class and process is very comprehensive and all the steps are supported for successful completion. I highly recommend and am grateful for their assistance.

Would highly recommend the LTC course at CTGW, and any other course for that matter. Michael was super knowledgeable, professional and did a really good job at explaining Texas' laws. Overall I was really happy with the whole experience.

Had my whole family take the LTC class here. Like everyone said, Michael does make it very easy to understand the materials and the test is a breeze if you pay attention. I recommend this place if you’re in Austin and want to take the LTC class.

I needed a front sight drifted into place on a pistol that seemed impossible. I had got it half way but stabed my pinky with a punch and said screw this. I took it to these guys and they got it perfectly in place without damaging the sight. THEN they told me it was on the house. No charge! WHAT! Unheard of. I'll be back for gunsmithing needs and more. Customer service was great!

Took my LTC class here. Micheal and his staff are well organized, efficient and professional. Class was very well done. Range was perfect. I have also done firearms transfers here and they are quick and reasonably priced. Couldn’t be happier.

HIGHLY recommend the in person LTC class! Michael is a GREAT instructor and amazing advocate for LTC. He made all the information relatable and the entire process seamless.
