We are card holders so I thought it would be nice to check out since we arrived to the airport so early. It literally is a large patio to sit and airplane watch for the most part. After you check in, there are complimentary snacks and drinks to choose from, but very limited. The indoor seating is also limited. This is a great place to hang if its 70 degrees and zero wind. However, it was like 55 and windy so we spent most of the time trying to keep our stuff from flying all over the place. A member of the staff told me that if it's raining, the cutoff is about 12 people, son keep that in mind because Texas weather can change quick. Overall, nice staff and great place to hang to grab small snack prior to your flight.

I was rerouted to AUS from Dallas due to several cancelled flights to the DC metro area. After almost 24 hours of canceled flights home, I was excited to see signs for a CSR terrace - thinking I could make the best of an otherwise tough situation. I think I walked the entire length of the airport and then upstairs to get there. The location felt inconvenient. After I made it up and introduced myself to the front attendant, she coldly told me they were full and I could only do grab and go. I told her that was fine and said I'd revisit to have a seat in the lounge area later when it was hopefully less busy (although 6 visitors and 5 employees didn't really seem 'busy'). She just stared at me like I was wild for suggesting such a thing. I grabbed a sparkling water and a vending machine salad and had a seat downstairs near the stairway to the entrance. As I was leaving there was a couple who were showing their credentials to get in. I didn't see them do the grab and go. Maybe they went to the Delta Sky Club next door - or maybe they were allowed in to stay? I respect the capacity rules. However, I do not feel like a valued CSR holder or welcome in a space that I 'pay' to use. I also think the food/drink variety and quality are lacking. Giving a couple stars because it is nice to take a canned drink and see healthy food options.

Unfortunately the Chase Sapphire Terrace at AUS was mid and left a lot to be desired from what is supposed to be a "lounge" but is more of just an outdoor seating area with a few snacks. We can start with the positive. The snacks and drinks are complimentary (as is customary with every airport lounge) and the outdoor seating area is fairly nice and kept clean. The service is friendly although they have tons of staff for a very small area which is sort of odd, and most of them are just talking to each other and not working because there really isn't much to do besides clean up the outdoor area and greet guests. The outdoor area is extremely noisy as you might imagine because it is next to an active runway at an airport, so the concept is fine but the execution is not great. Perhaps if it was much higher up or if there was some sort of way to reduce the noise that would be good but it's not exactly pleasant sitting outside with jet planes roaring in the background unless you want to just watch planes take off. There is also no hot food. There is a vending machine that dispenses sandwiches and salads that are cold but all of the sandwiches were out of stock and the salads come in a jar that is pretty difficult to eat out of. Next time I am at the airport I will be going to a different lounge but unfortunately AUS doesn't have great lounges and I will have to figure something out because it is my home airport.

Have been flying in and out of Austin quite a bit recently and finally had a chance to stop by the chase sapphire terrace. To get in, you only need to flash your chase sapphire reserve card and show your boarding pass. The bad part is that it's at the far end of the airport next to the Delta sky lounge (I've been flying southwest and it was about a 10 minute walk to get to my terminal). I would recommend using the restroom before coming to this terrace as there's only one bathroom available. Indoor seating is limited to about 6-8 seats so I imagine it can easily get packed. Lots more seating outdoors but then you're exposed to the elements. Food: The food is somewhat limited to a farmers fridge vending machine as well as some chips/cookies/granola bars and a number of canned beverages such as beer/sparkling water/soda available. You can go up to the attendant to ask for more water or snacks. I tried the chocolate chia pudding which wasn't bad, and the salads are all very healthy. You will be disappointed if you were expecting hot foods, but if you're looking for some healthy options, this vending machine will definitely hit the spot! If I had a lot of time I would probably come by again, but only if I had 30-40+ minutes to spare.

Great for a quick stop while at the Austin airport before a flight. Grab a snack and a drink and take a seat - not too much indoor space, but overall, it's not too bad given what it is. Not a full lounge, wish it was but will be back when in the airport!

I cannot believe the people giving this place 4- and 5-star reviews. First, you have to have the Chase Sapphire Reserve card, which costs $550 a year, to access this lounge. It's at the far end of the airport near Delta, so if you're travelling on American or United you're a long walk away from your gates. Second, it's almost entirely outdoors in the sun, which is a non-starter in Austin 4-5 months out of the year. Third, it doesn't even open until 10AM, making it useless to early travellers when outdoor temperatures would be most suitable. Fourth, there is only one single holer restroom (outdoors) and no shower facility. Fifth, there is no hot food, only a crummy vending machine (OK, at least it's free) with cold food that is nearly empty more often than not. Sixth, beverage and snack choices are extremely limited - canned soda, a couple of meh beers. I will say the staff is helpful and cheery, which gives this review its second star. Have you people never been to a real airport lounge? This is pathetically inferior to basically every premium lounge in the US, let alone in the world. Stop by the Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston sometime and see what this should be, then see if this is still 4- or 5-star in your mind.

Gayle and I each pursue travel points in our own way. I should probably concentrate on a select few credit cards, but find myself spread out via various airline and hotel cards. I also have a Chase Sapphire Reserve Card which has lots of benefits despite it's high annual fee. One of the latest perks is access to the Chase Sapphire Terrace at select airports, including Austin. CONS - Limited hours of operation (10 AM - 8 PM) +/- - Somewhat limited indoor seating. - Only a single person restroom is available. PROS - Spacious and comfortable outdoor deck overlooking the tarmac. - The Farmer's Fridge featuring tasty and fresh pasta and salad dishes. - Free snacks and drinks at the front desk. - Friendly and helpful staff

An outdoor space with a small indoor section at the end of the terminal at Austin airport. It was a little chilly the day I went but still decent enough to sit outside. It's very loud as planes are taking off and landing . They offer food from farmers fridge and a variety of canned beverages , both alcoholic and not. The staff manning section of chips and snacks were super friendly. A great way to kill time before your flight and have a free meal as well.

It's not really a traditional airport lounge, which I think is why they don't call it a lounge. You plus a guest can get in with a Chase Sapphire card. It has a cool vending machine with mainly pastas and salads but I do think it changes a little according to the day. There is a small variety of canned alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and a handful of different bagged snacks, like energy bars and chips--good snacks for your flight. The best part is definitely the outdoor area but it was actually cold and rainy on the day I was there.

I'm hesitant to rate it so we'll because I don't want it to get crowded but this is actually exactly what I need as someone who travels often. They provide actual healthy food even though it is out of a vending machine, they have easy to use chargers, good snacks and drinks. I find myself getting to the airport early for once in my life to sit outside and do extra work because it is so quiet and spacious. I just hope it doesn't get too crowded! I love the salads and pasta.

Super small "lounge" with a large terrace which was useless on the day we went as it was super chilly in Austin. The lounge was fairly packed but we were able to find seats which everyone was eyeing. The staff manning the snacks were friendly and had a fun personality. The best part here is the salad/yogurt/chia machine. They had the same packaged salad downstairs for $9-11. Score!

"It's an experience, not a lounge" is a nice way to temper expectations. The space is divided 10% indoor and 90% outdoor which makes it unusable for probs 3-4 months of the year. With the popularity of CSR and high traffic of ABIA, i can't help but feel like this location is slightly impractical. Hours are also 10am- 8pm which makes it inaccessible for those early morning flight. Food: two Farmers Fridge vending machines are available (free, ofc) featuring fresh salads, cold pastas, quinoa bowls, yogurt/chia bowls. I was very impressed with the food as normally it feels cost prohibitive when i come across a Farmers Fridge in the wild. Snacks: Packaged snacks like Miss Vickies chips, Ritz, Chex Mix are available at the counter. Drinks: All canned. Soda, seltzer water, cold brew, wines, IPAs available at counter. Soda selection is relatively limited, only Coke and Diet coke. All this being said, everything fell into place on one particular visit and we had a refreshing experience. Perks are always nice!

First time stopping by the lounge and will not be back. Horrible experience from the moment we walked up to the check-in. The weather wasn't nice out so it was only indoor seating allowed, which was only 6 chairs. Woman at check-in told us it was only "grab and go" unless we could find a seat. Then the woman behind her repeated her word for word, like we were stupid and didn't understand the first time. Went in and grabbed 1 beer, not sure how it would be "grab and go" considering there is a sign at the door saying "no alcoholic beverages behind this point". So my gf and I stood there for no more than 5 mins so I could finish my beer. We were told 3x we needed to sit or leave (there were no seats available) so I assume they wanted us to sit on the floor. I chugged the rest of my beer and left. Horrible customer service. If it is seating room only, why even let us in? Just tell us to come back in a while to see if there is availability. Or even better, put a time limit on the people sitting there so you can accommodate more Chase cardholders. Instead, they gave us a horrible first time experience and we won't be back. Also, the vending machines were completely empty. The staff was rude and didn't apologize for any of the inconveniences. We basically felt like we were doing something wrong and felt extremely uncomfortable.

There is not much to this lounge and being situated next to Delta's lounge it should offer a lot more. However, having the ability to get away from the overly crowded AUS airport is a great option especially when free drinks and snacks are available. I do wish they had hot food options and more space inside. Sitting outside is nice on a sunny day, however, as winter is upon us, I am not sure if they have heat lamps or not. I would hope so as there is ample space outside and heat lamps will definitely be needed as well as appreciated.
