Devon is absolutely a wonderful yoga teacher! I really miss this studio. She was going to teach some class at Austin Yoga Tree before Covid. I hope she will when studios open back up. I really really miss clear spring studio.

lovely, thorough and fantastic teachers abound! the garden and windows to spring side just make it even more peaceful to practice....top it off with a wonderful wall with ropes for inversions and supports...everyone should try Iyengar yoga if not practice here regularly even if you take class elsewhere! highly recommend intro training with Tay then level 1 with Melissa but all the instructors are marvelous and highly trained, skillful at adjusting and taking care for any special needs or previous injuries. if you are lucky enough to take from the owner Devon be sure and give your thanks for being here in Austin amidst an ever changing urban landscape! * * p.s. signing up through the MindBody app just makes registering and keeping up with the schedule even easier!!

Attended my first class this evening and it was a great experience. A smaller class and an instructed that was very knowledgable. She took the time to check on everyone's pose and offer help and support. Really felt the work out and was very calm and relaxed the whole time. Can't wait to go back!

I am an old man (73( and have had numerous health challenges. Restorative yoga at the Austin Iyengar Yoga studio has kept me mobile and functioning. Further, the practice has allowed me to experience an equanimity I have not always had in my life.

great studio and method for people with disabilities, health problems, etc. I have neuro issues that prevented me from building strength and kept me in constant pain. Despite helping on myriad levels, Bikram was causing clonic-tonic seisures, so my acupuncturist, Neurologist, and stepmom all redirected me to Iyengar. Devon turned out to be highly knowledgeable about neurological issues and experimenting with props tailored to specific issues like mine. admittedly sore, sometimes for a while, after even the easiest classes, but i bring my body reponses back and she tweaks things to keep my nervous system from overreacting it has been highly effective and i now have more movement and less pain from spasms & no seisures during classes like i did with Bikram (altho i loved Bikram too, but my nervous system freaks out from heat) if u havent exercised in a while, expect to be sore, but also speak up or stop if pain occurs, and she will help fix it

Devon is a wise and thoughtful teacher. Having issues at both the lower and upper ends of my spine, her classes keep me upright, walking, and feeling fine.

Nicest yoga studio i think I've ever been in. Devon is Iyengar trained and executes with fantastic precision, helping with a multitude of physical body issues (of this in class). Love her classes, always walk out feeling great (for days)! ohm 🕉

First Iyengar yoga is the only yoga for me. It is hard to describe why it is so special. At Austin Yoga Institute, the instructors all embrace the style and with great care work with each student to ensure they fully understand the purpose of the pose. It is not about performance, it is about the unification of mind and body. Seeking out a studio with consistent teaching and love of student, is the best choice you can make. AYI is the place to for you. Try it and I promise you will never go to just any studio again.

Not very happy with the experience of the vinyasa class... 5 poses in 1 and a half hrs, i didn't even drop a sweat... Not a very spiritual experience either.... I don't go to yoga to work out my feet
