I stay with my local bank, a few blocks away because the people are nice, and since so much of our interactions have been moved online. Comerica Bank has done well by me for years. Also money is better secured handled directly and/or with paper forms vs. the growing industry standard of digital money handling. Physical money, whether gold, shells, or any widely accepted "Okay, I'll take that & here's your dinner" means of exchange, has worked for millennia.Check out search term "cbdc" and check YT vids for why it's proposed to replace our money. For how "centrally controlled" will change our lives IRL, read history - including right now in C., which uses digital technology from the West such as cbdc to centrally monitor/control every area of citizen lives. All they buy, do, eat, number of kids, where they go, is collected for the scs, social credit score. Oh, there's an scs in the USA now, too. Central planners saw how effective it is "over there", & of course want that power. So far, it's only in a few big financial cos. Called your "eg_" if I recall, for environmental, governance - and "s" for social? There's a way to check yours. That's so we'll comply more & more, to raise our score. Want/need a job, apt., loan, vehicle? Yeah... the algorithm will calculate your scs, determine what rate you get, if at all. Cbdc already controls the money of over 1 billion people. Anyway, easy to research.Gas powered vehicle registered to you? How many gallons of fossil fuels via your card? How's your voting record? Contribute to the right (i.e., left!) NGOs? How much, as a % of your income? In the right (favored) demographic?) Start with enormous computer power... add collabs between formal gov'ts/NGOs/multi billion $ multinationals - search Davis or wef or Russell Brand (he's a little rude, but does solid research & pretty funny too). Not a Luddite - I do use online to buy anything, Amazon Prime delivers. But... look at your contracts. With a credit card, any hack attacks, you can recover the stolen money by letting the credit card company know "This was not me!" & you don't have to pay. For any bank account, read your contracts online/in print, & Google current banking laws.

Horrible horrible customer service. Incompetent staff. Manager couldn't care less. You'd be better off keeping your money in a pillowcase than dealing with these people.

I recently opened a Comerica account online and everything seemed to go OK until I called the Downtown branch to ensure I can make an in-person deposit. That banker told me I needed to speak with a representative at the 35th Street branch. I was surprised as everything I had done online was complete. After being on hold, a banker at this location launched into a big speech about meeting my banking needs. I told her I had opened the 1 account I needed online and had no need for any additional banking. But the banker persisted and made it seem as if I needed to answer the questions for my account to stay open. She pried for more and more personal information that I wasn't willing to discuss, like the details of my business (I opened a personal account) and whether I owned or rented a home, what my income was, etc. etc. I wasn't comfortable with any of this and told her so, and ended up having to cut the phone call short.None of this interview was mentioned in opening the account online, so it is my belief that at least this branch pushes to offer additional products to new customers even after they say they don't need any. It felt very predatory, and the banker didn't apologize or argue the fact. I sincerely hope this is not how every Comerica Bank operates and this is just a scummy branch.I'll be going to the Downtown branch due to this phone call and will likely just be avoiding Comerica where I can if this is how their business practices are.

I love going here! I work just down the street. I was there when the power went out once and they were very calm, I was even there when some guy was getting violent and busted a door, they all handled it faaaaar better than I would have! I like this Comerica better than the others I've been to.

Dueling leafblowers every Tuesday...why not add a third to stir up even more dirt and noise? But I will say, that concrete looks AMAZING!!!
