"If you want to spend your entire lunch break making a simple deposit, come to Comerica!" I recently opened an account with Comerica and had some money orders to deposit. After figuring out how the heck to get into their parking garage (I called first and they didn't tell me it was going to be confusing), I made it to their lobby. I was standing there for 30-45 minutes. I have no idea what they were doing, but there was lots of typing involved and lots of walking back and forth to the manager's office. It's a new account, sure, but this is just inefficient banking. This is a 2 minute transaction, or maybe 5-10 minutes on a bad day. I have never stood in a bank for 30-45 minutes without being in line for most of that time. I'll give them another shot, but if it's this slow, I'll be banking elsewhere.

I have been using Comerica for my business for 5 years now. 5 years ago I had a great rep that pretty much took care of all my business banking needs and I used to think very highly of Comerica. He moved onto a different bank last year (Frost bank). When he left I soon realized that it was not so much Comerica that was amazing it was him. This became very apperat when Covid 19 hit and my business was on a govt mandate to close. Not only would Comerica not work with me on paying my bank loan they within 4 weeks went after me with lawyers. It become very clear they are not about helping or working with their clients / customers but more about presuming legal action in the face of a pandemic. I am currently looking at moving my loans and banking away from them.

as a tenant at 300 w. 6th, they keep this building freezing year round and it makes people sick. they can't seem to balance the hvac to make all of their tenants happy and healthy. it's an ongoing issue.

Visited this location today to cash a check a client gave me. I prefer to try to cash checks instead of depositing them because sometimes they bounce. Paid for parking on the street and went into the building expecting to find the bank on the first floor like most banks. Didn't see any evidence of a bank so I asked the concierge where the bank was. "22nd floor." I get on the elevator and get off at the 22nd floor and find the bank is located in a dinky little suite with two clerks who look more like employees at a traveling circus or amusement park than bank tellers. The worst part of the attempt to cash the check was that I was told it would cost me 7 dollars. I realize that some banks do this so it's not just comerica. I refused and asked that the fee be waived. This works sometimes but I have noticed a trend. If I am dressed in a business suit I almost always get the fee waived. Today I was dressed in shorts and a sloppy shirt because I had been working in the yard. "Sorry" said the unprofessional sounding and looking clerk as she rudely handed the check back to me. This was my client's money. He intended to use the bank that is using his money to make profits, to pay me the amount on the check. The bank should have no right to charge me to complete this transaction. They do it out of greed and because we put up with it. Congress and the federal govt have given banks way too much power. Do your own research on how the federal reserve act of 1913 installed the fractional reserve banking system which has made all of us economic slaves. Also look into how the creation of federal reserve notes($) really means more debt to all of us and our children. If you are a comerica account holder, please check out the solvency of your bank. Based on the location of the bank and the quality of the employees, I would be worried that I would wake up one day and find that all of my digital assets had gone "poof."

It's a bank, so it does what banks do -- money transactions. I started using Comerica in the Houston area, where it's easier to find locations to actually do your banking. I like having an easy bank Web site and good savings account, so no plans to leave Comerica just yet. No review of ATM services except to say there really aren't Comerica ATMs around, which is just as well, because I don't use them. My main complaints about Comerica in Austin: This location basically requires that you pay for parking. That's like a surcharge on making a deposit! Also, it's tricky to find once you get in the building that has Comerica written on the side. I had to ask the guy at the front desk, then take an elevator to the 13th floor (see, now you know where to go).
