Innovative solution to housing and support for people who are struggling in some form(s) of dependency. Community First! Village’s success is in part due to holding people accountable. People do not learn independence nor develop self esteem by given endless unrestricted handouts. Being proud in one’s accomplishments and contributing to community is what builds human wellbeing.

I emailed asking what CFV’s views on LGBTQ residents are. The response was that they think all are welcome. I was hoping to donate to an organization that houses homeless and their pets, I love this concept. But homelessness and the judgement of the Christian community has particularly hurt the LGBTQ community, and for the organization to be unsure if they are even welcome, rather than to actively focus upon addressing this problem, is not an organization that I would choose to support.

I have nightmares about this place. I lived there 5 years and developed PTSD. I had a direct neighbor that the staff (my ex Godparents, Tricia and Alan Graham) would not move who terrorized me for 2 years. I DO NOT recommend living here, crime at the Community First Village goes unreported and people who leave the village always want to hire an attorney or end up in prison, that is not a good sign.

This place is revitalizing, it works, and is breathtaking to see in action…in person. More cities would do well to take note and copy this roadmap in their own communities. It’s so needed and obtainable and they did a beautiful job, from the ethos to the homes, to the street names. Why every city doesn’t have this is insanity. It gives much inspiration and hope to see in person.

Had the displeasure of driving through this community to use the Amazon Locker, I would never recommend anyone go here for any reason. The residents flipped us off three times just trying to get to the amazon locker. There is no parking at the locker either.
