I am a South Austin native and I have been eating Conan's since they have been open and they never disappoint. The pizza you see on the website is the pizza you get, if it's your first time the Meaters always does the trick, but if you're looking for the real deal don't miss the Savage. And you always get your money's worth this is one of few legit old school Austin TX businesses left in town and it's worth it to go by just to see it. Jeremy is the MAN!!! Conan's is not just a great place to eat it's a landmark. And it's on the Southside who could ask for more?

I have lived in the Austin area for many years and I am a Conan's fan. The original Conans on W29 ST is the store to visit for the Greatest Tasting Conan's Pizza. I dined at the Conan's on 2018 West Stassney Lane and I had the worst pizza I have ever tasted, a very poor expression of The Conans Recipe. I spoke with the manager and then he defended his poor quality pizza, he told me it was the same as their downtown location, the service was poor and the building is in dire need of renovation. The manager offered no restitution for my bad experience, and refused to give me the owner's contact information. I suggest avoiding this location until the necessary upgrades have been made. And if you are south, dominoes is a step up from this store. I was going to order a medium pepperoni for pickup and when they were done with a plethora of price adjustments the medium pepperoni was about $30 bucks for a pickup, come on guys its just dough and cheese, damn!!!

Kid-friendliness: Super friendly on the phone taking my order, they even called back to make sure that my vegetarian options were the way I wanted them.

I was the “Psycho who ordered his pizza with anchovies.”The wait wasn’t short, but damn that pizza was great! Ambiance and service was memorable. Stopped in on a whim and I’ll definitely coming back so keep those anchovies in stock! 6/5 stars

Love the atmosphere, tons of classic fantasy artworks all over the place, and pizzas were phenomenal. I got a thin crust bbq chicken, and it was better than any other I'd had. Very impressed with the twisted crust look on the thin crust pizza. Finally, the owner was very friendly and helpful with my questions about the source of all their art (Boris Vallejo, if you were wondering. Highly recommend looking him up) 10/10 Experience, worth the drive

It's expensive compared to the deals at the chains ($35+ for a large deep dish) but it's good if you have the money for it. And unlike a lot of deep dish places, they don't skimp on cheese. Not quite as tall as a chicago deep dish, maybe more like a pan pizza in that respect, but bigger than Via 313 still. If you want big bready pizza, and you don't like the Domino's pan, this is the place to go.
