The co-parent, child and my self have been apart of the school the past 5 years. We are all in agreement that for a public school we couldn't be more pleased. 99% of the staff so far has been. And most conflicts resolved promptly as can be.

I started school here this year and the kids in my grade were so welcoming the staff is outstanding and I don't regret moving at all

From Cowan Elementary School
Cowan Elementary School, located in south Austin, opened in 1999 and serves approximately 750 students in pre-K-5, including tuition-supported pre-K for qualified families. The school is named after longtime educator Dennis E. Cowan. Its mission is to nurture and inspire children to achieve their personal best every day. Teachers and administrators are always open to meeting with parents to address specific needs or concerns. Cowan has an active PTA and offers convenient opportunities for parents to be involved in their child’s education. Cowan offers a variety of after-school programs, and local daycare programs provide transportation from the school for students attending after-school programs.
