I want to take a moment to recognize and sincerely thank Ryan Owen, the store manager at the Cricket Wireless location on Research Boulevard in Austin, TX. Ryan went above and beyond to help me with an issue that no one else seemed willing—or able—to handle.
I was having trouble recovering my phone number, and while others brushed off the problem or didn’t invest the time, Ryan was different. From the start, he showed a level of professionalism, patience, and determination that you don’t come across often in customer service. Even though he wasn’t obligated to go the extra mile, he chose to stay involved and work with me every step of the way.
What stood out most was that Ryan never gave up. For over a week, he followed up, looked into options, and made sure I was kept in the loop. His consistent effort and genuine care made all the difference. Thanks to him, my issue was finally resolved—and it’s only because he took the time to make it happen.
If you’re looking for someone who truly values customers and is committed to solving problems, Ryan Owen is exactly that kind of person. I’m incredibly grateful for his help and want to commend him for doing his job with such integrity and kindness. Definitely deserves above a five star.

If google allows me give zero star I will, this place it’s horrible, the employees don’t have any knowledge, they have to call the manager not at the store all times, the customer service was super horrible, they they ask us to leave after we ask refund because they messed up our plans, which they have no idea what they doing. Never go this place again. The server name is Chayanne a horrible person he know nothing about his job is.

Went in with an unlocked phone from Best Buy. The clerk, who had to be translated by another attendant, spent 30 minutes installing my e-chip unsuccessfully. I was charged $10 to be told to go back to Best Buy. To their credit, I was told the chip purchase would be honored, but unlike the OFFICIAL Cricket store, Best Buy was able activate the chip. Get with it!

This was one of the absolute best phone buying and plan service interactions i’ve had with a wireless provider. Initially a very friendly female helped my gf and i pick a new iphone out and plan, unfortuently i didn’t get her name but she was great. We had to come back later because “total” phone service, which is trash, needed to transfer her number to cricket. When we returned, Ryan helped us out and went way waaay beyond what i’ve ever expected. He’s had over 10 years experience in the industry and it shows. Any other store would have told us sorry but will have to get a new number. My gf also was locked out of the phone but he was still able to find the numbers in the phone to give to total so they could eventually transfer the number. Total was making the process almost impossible me but Ryan still found a way and in short time. And while on hold he would inform us of our best options and package deals we would be getting with the phone and plan we picked. As well as helping people who would walk in the store. Was seriously very impressive, and sucks lol cause i’ll now want to hold every wireless provider to that level and i know that’s just not going to happen. Ryan was well above and beyond the average employee. Definitely would recommend him as well as just Cricket in general when i honestly never would have before. Look forward to continuing relationship with this location and provider

Rude Hispanic employee and manager stole my wallet and would not let me see the camera footage from the time I left and came back 10 minutes later. Stay away from this location horrible customer service and thieves run run run!

I visited this location with my own device to activate, the ladies there at the moment immediately told me it wouldn't work on their service without even checking. They only "checked" it after I requested they check since I had bought the phone with the understanding it was compatible with cricket. there was a brief check and they just handed me the phone back without a comment on whether it would work or not; I asked and they said no. After leaving I used crickets online IMEI reader and it said it was compatible. I visited another cricket location where they were able to get my service set up in less than 30 minutes on that same device that "wasn't compatible"
